Volume 1, Issue 1 August 2015 How We Came To Be Written by: Julie Dionne Liddle Refiner s Fire World Ministries, Inc., was founded after Norma Castaneda, (see picture and bio on back page), went with her mother to visit her mother s friend who lived in a poor village in Mexico. After seeing the village and all they lacked, it broke Norma s heart and she felt the Holy Spirit telling her that villages like this one was ready to be harvested. That day she briefly left the village and went into town and bought food, clothes, and shoes to bring back to the village. Once she returned to the village, she found a table and set up everything she had bought and then asked her mother s friend to go gather the rest of the people in the village so that she could bless them with the items she had purchased. When everyone gathered around her, she started preaching the gospel to the people and then led over thirty people to the Lord. After everyone had been prayed for, she handed out the items to the families and headed back home. her what had just happened. I was listening to the conversation, (see my picture and bio on back page) and while they were talking God spoke to my heart and said, This is your time. After they finished talking, I told Norma that when I was twelve years old, God had told me that I would be a missionary. Since that time I have prayed that God would open doors for me to go to the nations and win souls for Him. I told Norma that it had been 29 years since God told me that I would be a missionary and now this is my first opportunity to do what God has called me to do. So we created Refiner s Fire World Ministries, Inc. We decided to call it world ministries because we feel that one day, we will go to other nations and preach the gospel and help the people, just as we are doing in Mexico. Norma has a burden for the people of Cambodia and I have always had a burden for the people of the Philippines, so we hope to go to at least those two countries and help lead people to the Lord and provide supplies to the people. But we both know that the Lord has called us to Mexico and that is where our hearts are now. On her way home she called her spiritual mother, Janice Hartsough, (Janice is my mother), and told (Continued on page 2) Page 1 of 8

(Continued from page 1) Our Mission and Vision for RFWM, Inc. Refiner s Fire World Ministries, Inc. mission is to preach the gospel to the poorest villages in third world countries. It is also our mission to teach them to read and write in their language and in the English language and to supply them with food, clothing, clean water, toys for their children, sanitary supplies and anything else they may be in need of. 1. To preach the gospel to people and to lead them to salvation, the infilling of the Holy Spirit and to pray for healing. 2. To provide people with food, clothing, clean water, toys for the children, sanitary supplies, and anything else they may be in need of. 3. To teach people to read and write in their own language and in the English language. 4. To set people up with their own businesses, teach them job skills, and give them job training so that they may start to earn an income and be able to be self-sufficient. 5. To pay the tuition so that their children may go to school and receive a proper education so that they will have the skills to break the cycle of poverty. 6. To provide a place of shelter with running water and electricity, so that those villagers, who wish to do so, may live there to be able to be provided with the basic necessities of life. In this shelter, food and sanitary supplies will be provided and workshops where people have an opportunity to learn to read and write, seek job skill training, and learn computer skills. Also in this shelter there will be services to help these individuals be delivered from drugs and alcohol, as these are the main contributors to poverty. Norma and I are passionate about our Mission and Vision statements for RFWM, Inc. These are the statements that we feel God has led us to achieve, not only in Mexico, but in other nations as well. We re passionately seeking divine direction from the Lord in every step we take. We always want to make sure that we are following His will and not going out just to do good. The Village of the Dumps Written by: Julie Dionne Liddle A man named, Jorge, and his brother, (pictured above), were passing out Spanish salvation tracts (Continued on page 3) Page 2 of 8

(Continued from page 2) and Norma stopped them and asked if they knew where one of the poorest villages in Nogales was. Jorge said he did and he and his brother got in our car and directed us to the village of the dumps. While on the way there, Norma started talking with them and found out that they are evangelists and preach the gospel to anyone who will listen. Norma felt the Holy Spirit tell her to ask Jorge if he would preach first at the village. Jorge was so excited and enthusiastic about this opportunity. He and his brother live in the village but in a much nicer home. He hadn t thought about speaking in his village before now. trickles through the layers of the roofs and soaks the inside of their homes. The Village of the Dumps got it s name because it is literally built on a landfill site in Mexico. The villagers there have built their homes and find food, clothing and other items they need by digging through the trash at the landfill everyday. Homes like the ones pictured in the next column, are just pieced together. If a strong wind or heavy rainstorm came, their homes would be damaged or destroyed and they would have to rebuild again. The roofs of these homes are just one layer after another of aluminum or wood. So when the rains come, their homes have lots of leaks because nothing is tied down and the rain Page 3 of 8 These homes are just one-room shelters with blankets laid on the dirt floor. They don t have a kitchen or a bathroom...just one small room that houses up to eight people. The people sleep on top of blankets and have only a thin blanket between them and the dirt floor. The little boy pictured at the top of page 4, was so excited to show us the bow and arrow he had made from sticks and string that he found in the landfill. We told him that was wonderful and then told him that the next time we came back, we would bring him a real bow and arrow, (a child's one). He thought that was neat. (Continued on page 4)

Many of the children didn t have real toys to play with...they would stack rocks up together and then roll a rock towards it to knock it down their form of bowling. After Norma and Jorge preached and led many to the Lord, we handed out bags of food and clothes to the parents and brand new toys to all the children. (Continued from page 3) Once Norma and Jorge gathered everyone that was willing to come, Jorge began to preach. He preached with enthusiasm, and he was literally on fire. One could almost see the Holy Spirit resting on him. After he preached Norma preached and the anointing was all over her. The people of the village heard two powerful messages and that day seven adults and three children came to know the Lord. We ve led over thirty people to the Lord so far. Below are pictures of Jorge and Norma preaching. (Continued on page 5) Page 4 of 8

(Continued from page 4) they live on. Many of these children are not allowed to go to school because they are needed to work in the landfill each day to help their parents find food and supplies needed for each day. I saw one little girl carrying a pail of water towards her home...the water was dirty and I assumed it came from the landfill. I saw one woman digging in the landfill, she had found a diaper for her child, I watched her as she tried to clean the diaper as best as she could. It was then when I realized that these people have no choice but to try to clean used diapers and repurpose them for their children. This is real life for them, until now, they ve had no other choice but to find what they need from the filthy landfill Norma and I hope to change this situation, but we need your help to do it. God has given us a mission and a vision, but we need the people of Tucson to help us complete this mission and vision. We need people to financially support us so that we can build a center for the villagers to stay at. We need bags of rice, beans and tortillas, and boxes of powdered milk as these are their main food staples. We need bottled water to hand out. Diapers for all ages so that the parents don t have to dig through the dumps to find the cleanest diaper they can find to diaper their children with. We hope to provide sleeping mats and pillows for the families so that they don t have to sleep on a thin blanket on the dirt floor. We want and desire to teach the villagers to read and write and to give them job skill and computer training so that they can go out and find work to support their families. Please pray about partnering with us. We are a 501c3 corporation, so anything you give, I can write you a tax-deductible letter and send it out to you the same month we receive your donation. A Prophetic Word God has given Julie many prophetic words that were just what she needed at that time. Below is a prophetic word that was given to me on July 16, 2000. It was given to me during a revival service in my home church in Nixa, MO. I have shared it with many people when the Lord has led me to because He told me at the time that this word was not only for me but for many others. As I was writing this newsletter, the Lord impressed on me to include this prophetic word. I m not sure who it is for, but I hope it blesses you and confirms what God has been speaking to your heart. Below are the words that God spoke to me that day. This is Your Season of Training! My Child, I see your needs...i hear the cries of your heart. Know that I am working everything for your good. I am bringing you through the Refiner s fire so that when My work in you is complete, you will be as pure gold. Remember, My child, it is only through great pressure that the rugged, black coal is turned into a flawless, beautiful diamond. I am forming you into that beautiful diamond. Do not look to left, or to the right for your answers. I am your Answer, I am your Provider, I am your (Continued on page 7) Page 6 of 8

(Continued from page 6) Healer, I am your Comforter, I am your Defender, I am your All in All, I AM that I AM. I will make a way where there seems there is no way. You have been walking by your earthly sight but I say to you walk in the Spirit, see with your spiritual eyes, hear with your spiritual ears. I am drawing you to a place where you have no one to turn to but me. I am your only Source. I am longing to teach you how to fully trust and rely on Me and not on people and the things of this world. I am preparing you for the things which lie ahead things that you cannot even comprehend right now...but until you learn to wait on Me and rely only on Me, I cannot allow you to move forward -for how can a child learn to run if they can t even walk steady? As you learn to depend on Me and trust Me for your every need and have faith in Me in the little things that are happening in your life right now, then later when I unfold My plan for your life and allow you to go forward, you will be able to walk by faith because you have learned to trust Me in the little things. You are in a season of training. I am preparing you for war. There is coming a day when you will not doubt My Words or My Promises. There will come a day when you will know My voice so well that all I will have to do is whisper in your ear and you will know it is Me. Take joy in your training...take joy in your struggles...take joy in the pain of the refining fire and know that I am with you and carrying you through each flame. Know that I see everything that has taken place and soon you will see My purpose and My perfect plan in the things that I have allowed to happen. I have not forsaken you...i am training you. Do not allow darkness to hover over you...do not allow negativity to enter into your thoughts...beware of the principalities of this world Page 7 of 8 that are trying to rob you of your training! Guard your mind by staying in My Word...guard your heart by continually praising Me and worshipping Me...guard your spirit by interceding and laying your burdens at My feet...it is not your responsibility to bring to pass what I have spoken that s My job! It is your responsibility to continue to speak forth the things that I have promised and to walk in faith and put your trust in Me until you see each one fulfilled. Stay focused on Me...stay in tune with My Spirit, I see your heart...i see your desire to know Me in a way you never have before. Stop doubting and start believing. My grace has covered you and My anointing is burning within you. Continue to speak forth My Word in your life. My child, I am not asking you to understand everything, I am asking you to trust Me in everything and the understanding will come as you put your faith and trust in Me and rely only on Me. Stop looking to others to confirm the Rhema Word that I have already spoken to you! Why do you doubt? Am I not your Father? Am I not more than able to bring to pass the things that I have spoken? You are My child, and yet you have questioned My timing, and have pondered when I will bring to pass the things that I have spoken...i am waiting for you to completely trust Me and step out in faith and learn to walk in My Spirit and not give thought to that which you see happening in the flesh, but praise Me for what I have shown you in the Spirit. I have brought you to a place where I can have you all to Myself. I long to fellowship with you. I long to commune with you. I take joy in the praises of My children. Praise Me in everything! The more you praise Me, the more hell hemorrhages! It is through praise that the strongholds in your life and in the lives of those around you are broken. I say to you praise Me. Keep My praise on your lips. I am directing your steps. Trust Me. Do not doubt. I am all that you need. I am that I am that I AM! (Continued on page 8)

About Norma Castaneda Not being born into a godly Christian family, the Lord gave dreams and visions to Norma as early as age six. She watched a Jesus movie and fell in love with Jesus. At the age of sixteen, one of her teachers at school led her to the Lord and began taking her to a Baptist Church. She was so passionate about Jesus and her calling as an Evangelist that God would show her, as she says, highlighters on peoples foreheads and she would know that they were ready to receive Christ. She has led many to the Lord this way since she was seventeen years old. Norma had been bulimic since the age of eleven until the age of twenty-five and God delivered her. When Norma was twenty-four, she went with Liz Lopez to the Philippines on a two-week mission trip. That s when God gave her a love for missions. Six months later she went to IHOP in Kansas City, MO. There she received training in prayer and worship and developed a heart for intercession. Today, Norma works at Pasadera Behavioral Health Network, which provides housing for clients with substance-abuse who are in treatment to break the cycle of addiction. Mexico is a new field of ministry that Norma is excited to explore and see what incredible things God will do in these villagers lives. Psalm 27:4, NIV Norma s Life Scripture One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple. Page 8 of 8 About Julie Dionne Liddle Julie was born with less than a fifty percent chance of living. She was born with severe birth defects that needed immediate surgery. Her mother knew that she would be a healthy baby girl. God had given her mother a fore warning of Julie s birth and assured her that He would heal her. Being raised in a Christian home, Julie had always felt a calling into the ministry. When she was twelve years old, a missionary from the Philippines came to her church and talked about the villagers and the needs of the people there. This fascinated Julie, and it was during that service that God told her, This is what I have called you to do. In 2001, it was discovered that Julie had Arnold Chiari Malformation, a birth defect of the cerebral part of the brain. Julie underwent life-saving brain surgery. Although the surgery saved her life, she still has many symptoms and has been on disability since 2004. During her late teens early twenties, God gave Julie many prophetic words and the gift of writing. In the Spring of 2003, Julie complied all of her writings into one album. She hopes to one-day have it published. In July, Julie was able to go to Mexico and see the abject poverty of the Mexican people. It so broke her heart that she is now looking forward to seeing how God is going to move and deliver these people and transform their lives. Jeremiah 29:11, NIV Julie s Life Scripture For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
