Dear Potential Core Team Leader, I m glad that you are interested in serving in our youth ministry program here at Holy Spirit! I am always looking for talented ministers to serve in our youth ministry program. I believe that solid ministry is built on relationships between the adult and teen leaders along with the people whom we serve. Relationships are the key to teens feeling loved and accepted so that they can understand the love of God in practical ways. This is when real spiritual growth takes place in a teen s life. The Holy Spirit Youth Ministry Program requires a substantial team of volunteers working at all levels from our newly Confirmed teen leaders to our experienced adult veterans of Youth Ministry. The challenge of our Youth Ministry is to access the wealth and diversity of resources within and around the area so as to provide a meaningful and effective faith formation program for younger and older adolescents which engages their energy, imagination, curiosity, compassion and playful spirit in an exploration and engagement of our Catholic faith. Core Team members not only assist the Youth Minister in implementing a variety of tasks related to the activities done within youth ministry, they also have the opportunity to share in their faith through the lives of young people. The Holy Spirit Youth Ministry Core Team ensures that the pastoral care of young people at Holy Spirit is rooted in the parish and is integral to the life, work, and mission of the parish community. The Youth Ministry Core Team consists of adults, college students, and high school teens who provide vision, direction, support, and advocacy for the parish s ministry to young people Thus, the quality of our youth ministry volunteers is very important. I am looking for men and women who have made a commitment to Christ and a desire to care for teens. With the aid of prayer and consideration, read the enclosed materials. Because I place a great value on this ministry, I place a great value on our Core Team. Once I have your application, I may schedule an appointment to discuss your involvement on the Holy Spirit Youth Ministry Core Team Youth ministry is a great way to give of your time and serve the Lord. I m looking forward to meeting with you and spending some time talking about your hopes and desires for ministry. If you have any need to reach me, please feel free to call. God Bless, Louie Latina Director of Youth Ministry & Worship Holy Spirit Catholic Church 5830 Hualapai Way Las Vegas, NV 89135 (702)379-5723 Cell (702)901-4106Office LouieL@holyspiritlv.org Email Blog Site: http://www.holyspiritlv.org/upper-room-high-school.html

We love because He first loved us. God Loves us for who we are and who He created us to be. Our capacity to love other is rooted in our belief that we are first loved by God. God is love and everyone who lives in that love, and share in that love, lives in God. Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but also do it with gentleness and reverence. We experience and encounter the love of Christ. This experience is not meant to be kept in but shared. There is power in our testimony. Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect. We are holy people called to live holy lives. When we strive for holiness, we put Christ at the center of everything we do. Because of this, we are transformed and should live lives that look different than what the world is calling us to live. A thief comes to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly. A life of sin is empty and only leads to destruction. A life with Christ is full of love, joy, happiness, and peace. The death and resurrection of Christ allows us to have the fullness of life and to share that life with other people. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Through the Eucharist, through Adoration, and through praise and worship, and through all the Sacraments we build our relationship with God and strengthen our connection with Him. We experience the full presence of God and are called to share that with others. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. Prayer is the conduit with brings us in communion with God. And, praise is our response to God s love for us.
