San Angelo Dynamic Downtown Lions SEPTEMBER 2016 ISSUE 93, VOLUME 03 Editor: Lion Scott Patterson Printed by Patterson s Office Products Roars from Boss Lion Roy Landry Boss Lion s Corner Lions: I would personally like to thank each one of you Lions for making our Clay- Bird Shoot a success. Other than a little rain everything went well. We are waiting on the final bills to be paid to announce the net income from the shoot. It looks like we will make at least what we did last year. Again you Lions made it possible to help the charities that we support. JOB WELL DONE!! The Zone meeting was well attended by the Downtown Lions. District Governor Dave Richison was the speaker and encouraged the clubs to have at least plus one in membership this year. He also spoke on retention of members and keeping our clubs fun for the members to attend. The Governor s other goals for membership is to help rebuild membership in the two Coleman Clubs and the Lady Lions Club in San Angelo. Also he wants to rebuild the Big Spring club using the old charter. The original club in Big Spring is closing in October. District Governor Dave presented our club with the award for the Lions Legacy Project. The bus stop bench project we are undertaking qualified our club for this award. Our Club was also presented the CENTENNIAL Service Challenge award. Our club did three of the four programs of the challenge. Next event coming up is the Pancake Breakfast in October. Lion Doug will be asking for our help for that event. Remember Many Hands Make a Light Load.
