This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it! Welcome: Today, being preparatory Sunday, we want to begin our week of preparation by focusing on God s requirement that we turn from all sin and dedicate our lives to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Next Sunday morning, we anticipate celebrating the Lord s Supper together. Please join us after this morning s service for refreshments and fellowship in our Fellowship Hall. Children aged 3-5 meet your teachers in the Narthex during the offering this morning for Children s Church. Pastor s Book Study: Since Wednesday was cancelled, all are welcome to come at 5:30 pm today to study Chapters 11 and 12. This coming week, please finish chapters 13 and 14. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES This morning- No one likes to buy a lemon, and no one looks to fall into a trap. But people and animals do. The story of Proverbs 7:1-27 portrays how it happens, and how sin works exactly this way. Next week, we meet the opposite figure of the adulteress, the woman of wisdom, who calls out in Proverbs 8. This evening- It is not an overstatement to say that the message of this evening's passage changed everything for God's people. Hebrews 10:1-18 and our message, "Better than Bulls and Goats," explains the profound way that Christ's sacrifice does what repeated temple sacrifices under the law of Moses could never do: change people. PRAYERS AND PRAISES We join together in the sorrow of Ryan and Amy Van Zee after the death of Ryan's mother, Lois, earlier this week in Corsica. Services were held on Thursday and Friday. Please be in prayer for the Van Zee family to cling to our God of refuge in this time, and in particular, let us together lift up Ryan and Amy.
