Vocation Awareness week begins today. During this week, let us be aware of our need to answer God's call in our lives. That call begins at Baptism, and continues as we live out our vocation to the married life, the single life, the consecrated life, and the ordained life. In a special way, let us pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. During this week, there will be a table set up in the area near the elevator with information about vocations, along with some prayers for vocations. Please stop and pick up some materials. For more information, you can check out www.gbvocations.org or www.usccb.org. Gracious God, you have blessed me with many gifts and talents. Grant me the wisdom to know how best to use them for the glory of your name. Jesus calls, Come follow me I want to follow you and be faithful to my call. Help me to see in myself what you see, and give me the courage to follow wherever you may lead. Bless the Church with generous hearts, eager to serve your people and to spread your Word. ~Amen. OPPORTUNITIES FOR GRACE! We are in need of one person for these dates: November 11/12, 18/19, 25/26, December 2/3 & 9/10, to sell the Diocesan History Books after Mass. (or until all books are sold) The table will be located by the elevator at St. John s and by the greeters desk beginning December 3 rd, at the Cathedral. On Wednesday, November 22 nd after the 8:30 am Mass, we need four strong men to help replace the risers in the choir balcony at Cathedral. Starting Sunday, December 3 rd, we will once again begin having Sunday Socials. We would like to do things differently by asking parishioners to bring a dozen baked or store-bought goodies, such as cookies and bars for the Sunday Social. Our hope is to get enough people, so each person would only be called upon once a month. Some of you may have received a call already, but if not and you are interested, please call us. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated. Please prayerfully consider how you can help your parish with any of these opportunities, and call the office at 432-4348. Thank you. ST. NICK PARTY Sponsored by St. John s deaf community after the 10:45 Mass on Sunday, December 3rd. For questions call SJE parish office at 436-6380. GRACE ANNUAL APPEAL During this time of harvest and thanksgiving, GRACE has been generously blessed with the many gifts made to this year s annual appeal. Thank you to those who have already made a donation to the 2017-18 Annual Appeal and to those that are still prayerfully considering what they can give. Every gift makes a difference in the Catholic education experience for more than 2,100 students enrolled in GRACE schools. Donations can be mailed to GRACE Annual Appeal, 1087 Kellogg Street, Green Bay, WI 54303 or online at www.gracesystem.org/donate. PRAYER CORNER Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet, who must make retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the flames of Purgatory, that there, too, the Power of Your mercy may be celebrated. ~ Day 8 Divine Mercy Chaplet
