I Foundation Meditation Do you wish to be great? Then begin by being. Do you desire to construct a vast and lofty fabric? Think first about the foundations of humility. The higher your structure is to be, the deeper must be its foundation. Saint Augustine Before Listening Your journey is about to begin. Soon you will be taking your first steps towards an incredible adventure. The world you know, or think you know, will slowly begin to fade into the distance as a new one emerges. Are you excited? You should be! Nervous? Don't be. While the universe is vast and mysterious you are not alone. Let's take a moment to reflect on the wisdom and experience of other travelers to help with your own journey. EXPERIENCE IS THE TRUE KEY. At Higher Balance we give you the tools necessary to experience things for yourself. This is, after all, your journey. It's not about hearing what we say and taking our word for it. We give you the tools and the maps. It's your choice where you go and what you do with them. Experience is the key to true development. That's why having experiences is a central focus of Core I: Awakening Dimensional Consciousness. Knowledge is a big part of the process. It's a powerful tool; like a key. It allows you to unlock more frequent and more profound experiences along your journey. Don't underestimate the power of knowledge, thinking it's all about techniques. It isn't. Knowledge gives you the framework to build towards experiences. For "it is knowledge that in many ways allows you to free yourself to experience these things. It is not just in the doing. If you do not know what you are looking for, you can't necessarily find it." Knowledge, however powerful it may be, should not be mistaken as an ends. It doesn't contain the true answers that you're looking for. One experience is worth reading a thousand books and one experience will enrichen you in ways that you never imagined. So, be careful that the lust for knowledge and information doesn't overshadow your true goal of awakening. Nobody ever awakened because they knew more than anyone else. They awakened by what they knew, truly understood, and how they applied it. Keep intently focused on attaining your own awakenings and ask yourself often; "How1viJJ what I am learning help me to experience?'' If you do this you will achieve the extraordinary. ERIC'S ALL-NATURAL, ORGANIC METHOD. Eric's delivery during the courses is a bit unorthodox compared to most, purposefully. His seemingly scattered approach is remarkably

easy to understand but may catch you off guard in the beginning; and is intended to do so. As you re-listen to each course however, you may discover the true reason for what he is doing and the result of this style. Ina world where our brains are increasingly programmed with very linear, structured, computerlike logic it helps to throw some vines in the way and bounce things around. The result is nothing the brain expected but everything the mind needed. Organic and all-natural, straight from the Universe to you. If you allow yourself, it's possible to experience as you listen. Many of the Modules are also recorded in a natural setting, in front of a live audience. It's this free, organic, spontaneous process that allows Eric to flow and deliver the very best knowledge captured just for you. In this sense it truly is the message, not the medium that is of utmost importance. Rather than lock Eric in a small recording studio, reading from a script of his thoughts like much of the material out there, we focused more on what would allow Eric to shift his consciousness and trigger the mechanism that allows the information to flow. That involves real people, just like you, sitting in and enjoying the ride. Don't focus on the negative. Remember why you decided to pursue this course to begin with. Was it for fancy sounding audio? Or was it for the very best knowledge and tools to get you where you want to go? The answer is obvious. Sit back, imagine you are there, you and Eric... and enjoy this special, intimate delivery. LEVELS OF UNDERSTANDING. Like anything in this life, as you learn and develop your ability in one area, it effects and benefits many others. For example, learning to stand on one foot increases your overall balance and in turn makes riding a bike far easier. Now this is a crude example but the rule remains. The ability to move fluidically between thoughts and concepts is a fundamental aspect of this program. As you progress your ability to do this will open new doors in your mind, and beyond, that you've never dreamed 0 "I KNOW THIS ALREADY." In many ways, the path of awakening is a path of remembering. When you come across something in our material that you already know, ask yourself a question: ''Where did I learn this?" You may be surprised to find that, in many cases, you can t think of any specific time in your life when you learned it. So why do you feel like you already know it? The answer may surprise you: It's most often your Navigator, the part of your dimensional consciousness that evaluates how right something is for you. Your Navigator knows and it feels like it just makes sense. But since your brain hasn't yet learned to listen to the Navigator, it can only assume that you learned it before. Another aspect of "I know this already" is when there is information that other teachers have taught in the past as well as teach currently. We obviously do not hold the patent on "truth". But Eric is extremely gifted in presenting knowledge in terms and analogies that are remarkably easy to grasp by people at many levels from the least to the most advanced. What is distinctive about the knowledge that Eric shares is that it has emerged primarily from his direct experience; actually a pretty rare thing.

Actively pursuing conscious awakening, as you are arguably doing by reading these words, is possibly an admittance that you aren't yet as conscious as you would like to be, so don't assume there aren't important new insights to gain from this material just because you've heard some or many of them before. There is much that can be missed the first few runs through the material in our Core Program. It often takes time to hear the deeper knowledge, so be patient with yourself and with this process...no matter how advanced you think you are. And, ultimately, what Higher Balance offers serves only to support the intensely powerful experiences available to all who actually practice the meditation methods in a diligent manner. EXPECTATION. Anticipation, or expectation, can only be based on what you know. It's using past experience to expect what will happen. In the end, you are after what you cannot imagine. That is what makes it truly profound -it's nothing you could have thought of on your own. By looking for the familiar we often overlook what we are truly searching for. Put all of your expectations and preconceived notions on a mental shelf. Begin with a clean slate. Whatever you expect this program to be like, whatever you expect awakening, or dimensional experiences to be like, put them aside. They will still be there if you really need them. Let things flow and see what happens without trying to live by standards created by you or anyone else. The Universe will give you what you need if you let it. Don't tell it what's best for you. That's what expectation is. You are telling the Universe this is what you think awakening will be like and this is what you need to get there. Open your mind, apply yourself, watch in wonder, and enjoy the journey. INSPIRATION DURING THE LOW POINTS. Always remember that at some point or another you will be "hit by the DOE." It happens to the best of us. Rest assured that you will not lose what you have gained and while your brain may forget from time to time your "mind" never will. All you have to do is listen and you will remember. Not all those who wander are lost J. R. R. Tolkien Even the low points have a lesson to be gained. In the grandness of the world, to which you are entering, all experience whether "good" or "bad" in human thinking, is leading you toward progression. So, "be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;." Max Ehrmann, Desiderata. Multi-Dimensional Mediation Like the name, Foundation contains the fundamental knowledge, philosophy and techniques of the Higher Balance system created by Eric Pepin. It is a complete set by itself and does not require any further courses. As you can see, you are not required to buy additional programs in order to get dramatic results or experience major breakthroughs, but Higher Balance does provide a fully comprehensive system for those who are interested in expanding their knowledge beyond this module.

Eric's lessons are multi-layered. The analogies and points he lays out often provide different realizations at various levels of understanding throughout a group or one's progression. Because of these various levels of comprehension and understanding it is highly recommended to go back and listen more than once in the first month of using the Foundation. One could go through the Foundation soundtracks and under- stand the concepts from a purely intellectual level, but did they really 'click'? It is one thing to understand something; it is another to fully 'realize' a subject and really get it, or yet another if it becomes a part of you. When one not only understands, but really begins to fully absorb the concepts put forth in the Foundation, the results will be profound! Energy Your Foundation meditations are primarily designed for accumulating Pranic Energy (or "The Force"), enabling you to directly experience it, "consuming" it for the purpose of nourishing your spiritual body. We all know that it is important, through proper exercise and nutrition practices, to nourish and condition our physical bodies for various abilities ranging from general wellness to running a marathon or other more extreme physical challenges. In a similar manner, you will exercise and nourish your spiritual body. Properly nourished in this way, you will be able to experience states of consciousness ranging from deep relaxation to profoundly high levels of awareness. Prana is "fuel" for your spiritual body! This energy will affect you on several levels, directly affecting all areas of your life as it radiates out from your multi-dimensional "center" greatly enhancing your "Tonal" (i.e. frequency), personal magnetism, brain, and Sixth Sense. It will also enable a deeper understanding of yourself and the world. This, really, is only the beginning as the benefits of meditation are limitless. Mindfulness Mindfulness is being aware of where your attention is being placed and this greatly determines your Tonal. After meditation, try to hold onto that dear-minded state you are in. Throughout the day, take the time to be aware of where your mind is. Contemplate the concepts in the CDs, especially the ones that really stand out for you. This practice is essential to making great strides quickly. The more that you reflect on the concepts in The Foundation, the more conditioned your mind will be when you meditate next. Preparing to Listen You should take a little time to prepare yourself to listen to the Foundation. The entire CD course takes about four hours. The knowledge is also very condensed and packed into each section. Set aside enough time to listen to at least one CD each session. The best way to go through the whole set is to have enough time to absorb them together without long breaks. In other words, if you can't listen to them in a single day, try to listen to them on consecutive days. If you listen to a CD one day and then have a three or four day break before listening to the next one, much of the

momentum, and the understanding you would have gained, will be lost. It needs to be fresh in your mind to get the most out of each part. It may be obvious but think ahead about your listening time, you might be surprised what distractions suddenly come up. Do you have a comfortable place set aside to sit while you listen? If you think you'll be hungry, do you have snacks set aside or something to drink? Make it an experience. Give your full attention to sitting, reflecting, and absorbing the content just like you would if it were a movie. This is going to affect the quality of your life, the experience of your spiritual journey, the essence of who you are... isn't it worth making it a priority and reflecting that importance in how you listen? We hope so. Some people like to take notes while they listen. If this is helpful for you, it's a good idea. We have also included an outline of the Foundation below to help guide you through the discussion.
