These moments gave me the opportunity to reflect upon the past few months and to recognize how our parish is truly gifted is our parish. Our music ministry is beginning its shut down for the summer and words cannot express how thankful I am for the many gifted bell ringers, cantors, instrumentalists, and vocalists. You are a valuable asset to our weekly liturgy. I would like to encourage even more participation in this valuable ministry. Around Labor Day, Jim Cole, our Music Director, will include a notice in the bulletin with further information, or just speak to Jim after any Mass. At today s 11:00 am Mass the Knights of Columbus and Altar Rosary Society will award their annual scholarships. It seems that the only time we look to our younger parishioners is to wait on tables, set up for dinners, and bake for events. These talented individuals do so much more, especially in the areas of ministry, formation, and music. Those awarded the scholarships will be announced in the next bulletin. Finally, I have to say thank you to our Parish Staff. Because of their commitment to Our Lady of Lourdes, I can comfortably leave for a few days knowing that the parish is in good hands. If you come across any of them, say thanks, for they are deserving of our support. Now that I am back to work, it s time to celebrate Mass with the Bishop on Monday (all are invited) and only God knows what else is in store. Have a great week. ROUND VALLEY DEANERY MASS Monday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. Bishop James F. Checchio will celebrate Mass in the Round Valley Deanery at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges.
