The world starts at a very early age to indoctrinate our young people with values and opinions which are both non-biblical and detrimental to their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. In order for our youth to succeed in life, we need to provide them with a Christ-focused view on Sex, Love & Relationships. Thus we invite you to our second annual retreat. In fact there are two separate retreats, one for the youth up to 17 years old, and another for young adults. The youth edition is suitable for young people as young as 13 years, however parental discretion is advised. This is a fun-filled, educational weekend that teaches youth all about healthy Christian relationships with the opposite gender. Our guest speaker is Novia Reid, an author and public speaker, with a passion for life and young people. Over the weekend young people will be taught the dynamics of creating, assessing and maintaining healthy relationships that will lead to permanent, God-honoring marriages in the future. The young adult retreat is exclusively for those 18 years and older. We recognize that the vast majority of young adults would like to get married at some stage. This is probably NOT the retreat to meet your future spouse. But it is the retreat to help you: 1. Prepare yourself to be the person someone else would like to spend the rest of their life with. 2. Learn how to ascertain who is worth dating and who should be avoided. How to stop the destructive cycle of always choosing the wrong person. 3. Date and prepare yourself for marriage in a way that honors God and respects yourself and the person you have chosen to be with. The training will be conducted by Dr. Annie Perez, a clinical psychologist and counselor, who has vast amounts of valuable information in this area. She is a dynamic and powerful presenter who is very engaging and interactive. The contact of the material to be discussed is strictly for adults only. Date: March 4-6, 2016. Venue: Pine Lake Retreat. Cost: $45. More Information: Marlene queenmrb@yahoo.com Registration: www.floridaconference.com/youth/events
