From the Desks of our Officers Fellow members of Post 7467 we have come to that time of year where we must choose who will lead us into our future. Choosing officers who will guide and represent us is a serious matter that should be approached with discretion and forethought. Our leadership should be chosen for their talents and the vision they have for our post. True leaders not only lead, they also know how to guide. In addition, our new leaders must dissolve the walls that have grown around our divisions of AMVETS, Ladies and Sons. They must reestablish communications that are grounded in mutual respect and the knowledge that only by working in true concert together can we meet our goals. So I ask you all to consider what kind of future you want for your post. Bear this in mind when you choose our leadership... To be an officer is not to be a master; it is to be a servant of others. Michael Eddings AMVETS Chaplain & Trustee As we go into this years elections. I pray that each and every one of you takes a moment to remember why you joined this AMVETS club. I pray that God blesses each of you with the insight and judgment it will take to choose new leaders. Do not dwell on where we have been, but look ahead to where we want to go. Betty Swan Ladies Aux Chaplain Good day everyone; we are at the start of elections for new officers at 7467. It is our duty to choose who will lead us victoriously into our future. Before you vote I want you to ask yourself who will represent you and your home the best. Who will work with you and for you to make AMVETS 7467 the proud membership club it should be. Ask yourself who you would want to stand beside to knock down the walls of miscommunications and animosities and step ahead into a bright and glorious future. Let s show everyone the family we are. Show them all what we stand for. To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States, to safeguard the principles of freedom, liberty, and justice for all; to promote the cause of peace and good will among the nations; to maintain inviolate the freedom of our country; to preserve the fundamentals of democracy; to perpetuate the friendship and associations of these veterans; and to dedicate ourselves to the cause of mutual assistance, this by the Grace of God. ~Preamble~ Bob Ordner AMVETS Adjudant I was grateful to help out with the chili cook off. We were able to raise quite a bit of money and it was fun! All of the proceeds went to MDA. Next year we hope to raise more money for this great cause. I enjoy helping out the AMVETS, Ladies and Sons in any endeavor. I really hope everyone s year is starting off in good health and good times! Joe Schlag Sons of AMVETS Chaplain We want to send out a huge THANK YOU to everyone that made the Chili Blaze possible. Thanks to you, we raised almost $800 for Muscular Dystrophy and won First Prize for People s Choice! None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our members. When a family like ours comes together. Magic is created. Beautiful job Post 7467! Thank you Bob and Jeanne Ordner
