Busy Bees The bees are making perogies every Wednesday morning. We are starting to sell them this weekend and every weekend after Mass for the next 4 weeks. Make sure you get yours as they are delicious ( $6.00 for 3 dozen). Ladies are invited to join us and share our friendship and fun. Hot tea and coffee are always waiting for you. Looking for a deeper commitment to Prayer during the Season of Lent come join us for Morning Conversations with the Word Enjoy coffee and fellowship as well as a guided teaching and discussion of the Sunday Gospel. THEO TOKOS A bit of news for those who have been asking for an improved Parish Web Page it has arrived. Upon discovering that the Diocese has decided to dismantle DeoWeb (making this ill-conceived project, I suppose, DeoCeased), I decided to register a Parish domain and to create our own Web Page. It s up and running now, although still under construction. You can find it at www.stkevinparish.ca. I hope you will find this site useful. It is certainly a lot faster than the old DinoWeb the Diocese created, and it allows for more options. I m not sure if we will go into blogs and chats (pretty sure we won t, but if a good case is made, we certainly can), but you will find the Parish bulletin there now (as of last weekend), so you can read it in advance of our Sunday celebrations (we will post it every Friday afternoon), and can keep in touch with Parish news when you are travelling. Also, beginning this weekend (if I can get all the techy issues worked out), I will post a video recording of my Sunday homilies. That should go up by Sunday evening each week, if all goes well. This will be a real blessing for those who wish to fast forward me, or turn me off completely. It s really funny to watch me in mute mode too, but please don t do that it s embarrassing. In all, there are currently 31 pages set up on our Web Site. The active ones include the Bulletins, Calendar of Events (it s even colour coded just don t know when that dark blue event will occur), Mass Times, Contact Us, and Finding Us. There is a Links Page through which you can access educational and informative web sites to nourish your Catholic faith. The others will be developed over the next few weeks and months. Those who represent our Parish Organizations (CWL, K. of C., and St. Vincent de Paul) are free to submit their own material (actually, I m sort of begging you to do so!). I ve tried to create a site that is clean and easy to navigate, while being informative and formative. My plan is to keep it up to date and accurate. You will find, for example, that the Calendar of Events is complete right into June. As always, your comments and feedback are appreciated. When the Diocese dismantles Deoweb, it apparently will also eliminate the e-mail addresses it had created for us. Before that happens, you will be notified of our new e-mail addresses. I ve created them already, but have not yet made the transition to using them. So, click away! Like all tools God provides for us, the internet can be used for both good and for evil. It is my hope that this sliver of cyberspace we now claim as our own will bring about good in our community all for the glory of God.
Memorial Easter Flowers There are envelopes available for parishioners who are interested in making a donation to the parish for Easter flowers. We suggest this donation be given in memory of a deceased loved one. The names of loved ones who are being remembered will be mentioned in the Easter bulletin. Any donation will be accepted.
