Was it a hard decision or an easy decision? What process did you use to make the decision? Did you do research online, talk to friends, family members, seek council, search scripture, prayer, all of the above or none of the above? We all make financial decisions, numerous ones, each and every day. We just don t realize it because many of the decisions we make we think aren't that important and don't affect our lives. Most of these decisions are made in haste without much thought and effort. The majority of Christians think the extent of God s involvement with their finances is limited to give to the poor because we are told to do so and give to Caesar what is Caesar s. This isn t the case as scripture is filled with passages on how to handle our finances and possessions. There are more than 2,350 verses in the Bible dealing with money. More than 15% of what Jesus talked about deals with money and possessions. Why is this? Because He knew that money would be one of the top contenders battling for our hearts. Join us, Christian Family Sunday School Class, at 9:30 in the chapel wing starting Sunday April 2 where we will be starting a multi-week study on how to handle our money and possessions the way God wants us to handle them. If you have any questions about this series, please contact Brian Bitner at bitner21@hotmail.com or 717-658-5374. 2 Food Pantry Item of the Month for APRIL: Canned Meat (Tuna, Salmon, Chicken) Place donations in the orange tub in the lower lobby. Below is a list of events and activities that the youth are assisting with, participating in or will be invited to be part of: You can find more information about our events, including permission slips, on the church website or join us on Facebook; our group name is; Five Forks BIC Youth Group, or see Pastor Shaun. *Please be aware that there is extra financial assistance available to any youth that may need it. Do not let money be the reason that you do not participate! (See Pastor Shaun) The Story of the Bible: For thousands of years, peoples, cultures, societies have been telling stories about the way the world works. Trying to explain how did the world come into existence? Why did the world come into existence? Where did we (humans) come from? Why are we here? What is our purpose? And which story you believe makes a huge difference in how you live your life, what you think about your life, how you treat the people around you. So all teens (7th 12th grade) are invited to join us every Wednesday night at youth group over the next few months as we look at understanding our story the Story of the Bible and why this story has the best answers to those most important questions! 5

LADIES ONLY Sunday school - Mary Fleagle and Amy Hansen are inviting all senior high girls (9 th 12 th grade) for a LADIES ONLY Sunday school class on March 12, 19 & 26! That s right, no stinky boys or foul-smelling odors only girls when you walk into the classroom! Even if you haven t been to Sunday school in a while, we want you to join us. And let s take some time to talk, girl talk. Do you feel like true femininity is at a crisis in this world? All woman have the desire to be valued and cherished and society is giving a false sense of how to have this void filled. Join Mary and Amy to talk about true femininity, how and who can fill that desire in your heart. We will be spending these 3 weeks with just us ladies, come with questions knowing this will be a safe place to talk. We ll also make special plans for a ladies only activity! Guys Only GUYS ONLY Sunday school - Gentlemen, it s time to talk guy talk. We hear a lot in our culture about becoming a man, macho, tough, but often that macho message is uninformed so we are inviting all senior high guys (9 th 12 th grade) to join us in Sunday school on March 12, 19, & 26 for guys only Sunday school as Brad Cole talks about what it means to be a true man of God. Brad will take the first two Sunday s (March 12 & 19) to unpack a little bit about Ephesians 6 and the armor of God and especially the sword of truth which is God s Word and how this spiritual armor must become a part of our common and daily lives if we are going to be men of God. Let s understand the truth about being a man. At the conclusion of our guy time together, on Sunday, March 26 th we are gonna take some time to about the natural curiosity between guys and guns and how guns are often misrepresented in video games, movies and culture. And sadly we hear stories regularly of how guns have been mishandled. Truth is, not all teens have an opportunity to learn about firearms at home. Special guest and police officer Mike Knechtel will also be sharing on March 26 th. Following church, all senior high guys are invited to join several youth leaders and experienced gun-handlers as we head to Fish-n-game. We will have rifles, shotguns and pistols on display and for demonstrations. Teens will also be given an opportunity to shoot some of these at targets after our discussion on gun safety and handling procedures. All necessary gun safety instructions and precautions will be taken for this event. Please keep your eyes open for permission slips and further details. You may contact Pastor Shaun with any questions. And PARENTS if you are interested in joining Sunday school on March 26 th and if you would like to accompany us to Fishn-game, you are welcome to join us. 6

Hershey Bears On Sunday, April 2 nd, all 7-12 th grade youth are invited to join us for an afternoon at the magical world of Hershey. Following Sunday school, ALL teens will meet upstairs for the 11am service and everyone will sit in on the worship service together. As soon as the service ends, we will load up the bus and head for Hershey s Chocolate Hershey s Chocolate Hershey s Chocolate World! We will spend some time at Chocolate world eating delicious food, buying mounds of chocolate and riding the chocolate ride! Following our time at Chocolate World we will head over to the Giant Center to watch the Hershey Bears Ice Hockey team as they take on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. We will return to Five Forks Church at about 9pm. The cost for this event is $10 plus any additional money you would like to bring for food or merchandise. This I Believe All senior high teens (9 th 12 th grade) join us for a new Sunday school series starting this April called This I Believe. Let s spend some time talking about what you really believe about the Bible, Jesus, Gender & Sexuality, Miracles, Heaven & Hell. We ll talk about what you believe, what the world says and what Christianity teaches on all of this topics and we need your voice in that class. Love Feast All teens youth group Wednesday, April 12 th (6pm - 8pm) will look a little bit different! We will be celebrating the Easter Season by participating in the allchurch Love Feast. Join us in the gym at 6pm for the Love Feast (that's right good food), we ll have tables specifically designated for teens. After the meal we'll head downstairs in the chapel as a youth group for a time of foot washing and sharing. Foot washing may sound a little weird, gross, uncomfortable, and you certainly don't have to participate. But come and join us anyway, sit and watch and join in the time of sharing. We'll be done at 8pm. 7

No Youth Sunday school on Easter Sunday morning, April 16 th. We encourage all teens and their families to attend the early morning Sunrise service and then sit in on one of the big church services that morning! Youth Baptism Service Have you been baptized? In the early church, baptism held a place of great significance. It was a marker, a symbol to the rest of society that someone had chosen to follow Jesus. People could be kicked out of the synagogues, arrested, lose their jobs, ridiculed for identifying with Jesus. It was a big deal. And today, baptism is our way of identifying with Jesus, it s a marker, a symbol of our faith and we do it in obedience to Jesus. So we want to provide an opportunity for teens to get baptized. On Wednesday, April 19 th we will be holding a baptism service at youth group, in the chapel, on the stage and if you ve not been baptized we want you to consider doing it that night! You re parents and any family and friends who would like to join us that evening are welcome. If you decide you want to do this, please talk to Pastor Shaun about details so you can be prepared that night. Youth Sunday All teens...we need your help! Sunday, April 23 rd is youth Sunday. That means we will be greeting, handing out bulletins, collecting offering, leading worship and preaching sermons that morning and we need all the help we can get. Please talk to Pastor Shaun about how you can get signed up for youth Sunday! Plan to come early that morning at 7:30am and stay through the third service at NOON! This is our chance to serve the church. 8
