GATHERING WELOME/ANNOUNEMENTS *ONFESSIONS AND FORGIVENESS In the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. God of all mercy and consolation, come to the help of your people, turning us from our sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that we may confess our sin, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of Jesus hrist, our Savior and Lord. Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another. Most merciful God, we confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus hrist, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus hrist was given to die for us, and for his sake God forgives us all our sins. As a called and ordained minister of the church of hrist, and by his authority, I therefore declare to you the entire forgiveness of all your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. 1

*GATHERING SONG (vs 1-2) anticle of the Turning ELW 723 *GREETING The grace of our Lord Jesus hrist, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And also with you. *KYRIE ELW Setting 8 *RAYER OF THE DAY Let us pray, Almighty God, your sovereign purpose brings salvation to birth. Give us faith to be steadfast amid the tumults of this world, trusting that your kingdom comes and your will is done through your Son, Jesus hrist, our Savior and Lord. SEIAL MUSI (Sunday) - hoir, A Round of Thanks FIRST READING: Daniel 12:1-3 A A reading from Daniel, the 12 th chapter. 1 At that time Michael, the great prince, the protector of your people, shall arise. There shall be a time of anguish, such as has never occurred since nations first came into existence. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book. 2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. A The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. SALM: salm 16 1 rotect me, O God, for I take refuge in you; I have said to the Lord, You are my Lord, my good above all other. 2 All my delight is in the godly that are in the land, upon those who are noble among the people. 3 But those who run after other gods shall have their troubles multiplied. 4 I will not pour out drink offerings to such gods, never take their names upon my lips. 5 O Lord, you are my portion and my cup; it is you who uphold my lot. 2

6 My boundaries enclose a pleasant land; indeed, I have a rich inheritance. 7 I will bless the Lord who gives me counsel; my heart teaches me night after night. 8 I have set the Lord always before me; because God is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. 9 My heart, therefore, is glad, and my spirit rejoices; my body also shall rest in hope. 10 For you will not abandon me to the grave, nor let your holy one see the pit. 11 You will show me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy, and in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. SEOND READING: Hebrews 10:11-14, 19-25 A A reading from Hebrews the 10 th chapter. 11 Every priest stands day after day at his service, offering again and again the same sacrifices that can never take away sins. 12 But when hrist had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 and since then has been waiting until his enemies would be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. 19 Therefore, my friends, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, 20 by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain (that is, through his flesh), 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. A The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. *GOSEL ALAMATION ELW Setting 4 *GOSEL: Mark 13:1-8 The Holy Gospel according to St. Mark the 13 th chapter. Glory to you, O Lord. 1 As [Jesus] came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, Look, Teacher, what large stones and what large buildings! 2 Then Jesus asked him, Do you see these great 3

buildings? Not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be thrown down. 3 When he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, eter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately, 4 Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign that all these things are about to be accomplished? 5 Then Jesus began to say to them, Beware that no one leads you astray. 6 Many will come in my name and say, I am he! and they will lead many astray. 7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is still to come. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. This is but the beginning of the birth pangs. The gospel of the Lord. raise to you, O hrist. OUR SAVIOUR'S KIDS SERMON r at Schutz r at Schutz HYMN OF THE DAY (vs 3-4) anticle of the Turning ELW 723 *REED A Let us confess our faith together using the words of the Apostles reed. I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus hrist, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under ontius ilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic hurch, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen 4

*RAYERS OF INTERESSION After each petition A Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer. *EAE Hear our prayers, spoken and silent, that we commend to you this day, trusting in your abundant mercy, through Jesus hrist, our Savior and Lord. OFFERING My Lord What a Morning ELW 438 *OFFERTORY RAYER A God of grace, you have showered us with abundance and entrusted to us the ministries of Women of the ELA. Help us to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world. Accept these gifts and our prayer that, nurtured by your Word, filled with your Spirit, and fed at your table, we may share with gladness all that you have shared with us, until all creation is satisfied. *DIALOGUE *REFAE The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise. It is indeed right... join their unending hymn: *HOLY, HOLY, HOLY ELW Setting 8 5

*THANKSGIVING AT THE TABLE Together as the body of hrist we proclaim the Lord s death until he comes. hrist has died. hrist is risen. hrist will come again. *LORD S RAYER A Lord, remember us in your kingdom and teach us to pray. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. *INVITATION TO OMMUNION God gives food to those who hunger. ome, be fed, be healed. Lamb Of God ELW Setting 8 OMMUNION HYMN Lord of Light LBW405 Due to copyright restrictions, please use the GREEN LBW HYMNAL *BLESSING Now may the body and blood of our Lord Jesus hrist strengthen you and keep you in his grace. *RAYER AFTER OMMUNION A Let us pray. We give you thanks, O God, that you welcome us to your table and satisfy our deepest hunger and thirst. By your gifts of word and holy meal, strengthen us to take up the cross as we go about our callings in this world, following after Jesus hrist, our servant Savior. Amen *SENDING OF OMMUNION Gracious God, loving all your family with a mother s tender care: As you sent the angel to feed Elijah with heavenly bread, assist those who set forth to 6

share your word and sacrament with those who are homebound. In your love and care, nourish and strengthen those who will receive this sacrament, and give us all the comfort of your abiding presence through the body and blood of your Son, Jesus hrist, our Lord. *RAYER FOR REVIVAL IN OUR MINISTRY ALL O God, you have called your people to be the Body of hrist in this community, and witnesses of your presence in the world. Fill us with your Holy Spirit. Send down the fire of your love upon us, that we might draw others to you, as you have sent us to do. Anoint us with a deep compassion for those who do not know your love. Send revival on your church in this place, that all may come to experience the difference God s grace and love in hrist makes for all people and creation. We ask this in Jesus name. *BENEDITION Like children in the arms of Jesus, receive the blessing: The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord s face shine on you with grace and mercy. The Lord look upon you with favor and + give you peace. Amen *SENDING HYMN Thine the Amen ELW 826 *DISMISSAL A Ever and anew in God's grace, let us go forth in peace to share the good news.
