He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth his fruit in his season. His leaf shall not wither, and whatever he does, shall prosper. [1:03] (2:1-5) Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us. He that sits in the heavens shall laugh. [1:24] The Lord shall have them in derision. (3:3-4) But You, O Lord, are a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. (4:1,3,5) (<>) Know that the Lord has set apart him that is godly for himself. The Lord will hear when I call to him. He relieves the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down. The Lord shall reign forever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance. Let them sing praises to him with the timbrel and harp, for the Lord takes pleasure in his people. He will beautify the meek with salvation. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet. with the psaltery and harp, with the timbrel and dance, with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals, on the high sounding cymhals.
