Br Ciric underwent emergency brain surgery on July 7, 2011 and again on July 15, 2011. Sadly, he suffered a stroke after the first operation. This left him paralyzed down the right side of his body and unable to talk. Reports received to date indicate his recovery will be very slow. We were thankful to hear recently that he has been transferred to Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia where he will be closer to his family while recovering. Our thoughts and well wishes are with him and his family at this time. Br Ciric is a minister of the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement and is an AUC Vice-President and the current Pacific Region Secretary for the General Conference. He is well loved and highly respected by all who know him. Please uphold him in your personal prayers.

European Sunday Alliance Launched The GT E-News draws your attention to the latest developments in the fulfilling of Bible Prophecy and an ultimate Worldwide Sunday Law. On 20 June, 2011 some 65 civil society organisations, trade unions and Churches launched the European Sunday Alliance at an event held in the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels. In their Founding Statement Together for decent working hours the signatories commit to safeguard and promote work-free Sundays and decent working hours throughout Europe. The launch was part of an expert conference on the impact of Sunday work on the health, safety and social integration of workers. http://www.europeansundayalliance.eu/site/home/article/74.html The Alliance's founding documents record, Work free Sundays serve to strengthen social cohesion in our societies. Only a well-protected common work-free day per week enables citizens to enjoy full participation in cultural, sports, social and religious life, to seek cultural enrichment and spiritual well-being and to engage in volunteer work and association activities. According to infocatolica, a Spanish information website for Catholics, church bodies involved in the alliance include both Catholic and Protestant institutions. (http://infocatolica.com/?t=noticia&cod=9071) (Spanish Site) (English Translation: http://translate.google.com.ar/translate?hl=es&sl=es&tl=en&u=http%3a %2F%2Finfocatolica.com%2F%3Ft%3Dnoticia%26cod%3D9071) While no doubt this alliance is well intentioned, being a significant political lobby group of Civil, Trade Union, and Church interests, its ultimate effect will be the enforcement of Sunday Laws, in direct violation of the Law of God. We are living in momentous times. A full featured article, Recent Events and The Approaching Sunday Law, appearing in the next full colour Good Tidings Magazine (print edition) discusses this development and other events in light of the prophesied Universal Sunday Law. Make sure you order your copy today! (Email goodtidings@sdarm.org.au or call (02) 9627 7553 now.) Fellowshipment of Br Bruce Powell, Schofields NSW On Sabbath, July 16 2011, Schofields Church members welcomed Br Bruce Powell officially into the membership of the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement. Br Powell's talents in video ministry will be greatly valued as we endeavour to proclaim the wonderful message of Reformation together. Please keep him and his ministry in your prayers. Br AC Sas extends the right hand of fellowship to Br Bruce Powell

Samoa - Wedding In January this year, Sr Viola Seu Falalilo and Br Suaesi Moe joined hands in holy wedlock at our local Faleasi'u Church, on the Samoan island of Upolo. Despite the rainy weather, church members and family were full of joy and happiness as they gathered to witness the event. The families were grateful that our beloved minister Br Brian Jaksic, still active in the Lord's service though retired, was able to visit and officiate over the marriage ceremony. We wish Sr Viola and Br Suaesi a wonderful life together and pray that they will be a faithful witness for the Lord in their married life. Despite the rain, the wedding party paused for photos outside the Church Fale, Faleasi'u, Upolo, Samoa. More photos online at www.sdarm.org.au/news

Samoa - Baptisms January 2011 A welcome decision of the 32nd AUC delegation session in December 2010 was to engage our retired ministers to help were possible with the work in the Pacific Islands. In response, Br Brian Jaksic was privileged to conduct the baptisms of five souls in January of 2011 Br Sapati Sami, Sr Lotofoa Sami, Br Uati Sami, Br Pofitu and Sr Paseka (Tupe) Sauvao. June 2011 In early June, 2011, Br Jaksic returned to Samoa to assist with the Samoan Field Delegation Session. Sabbath meetings were well attended with an encouraging number of visitors. On this second visit he was privileged to conduct the baptisms of four more souls, Sr Tumu Agavale, Sr Fetineiai Agavale, Sr Manuao Siyanilo Sapati, and Br Arona Unasai. Br Jaksic also visited American Samoa where he held a number of meetings for the benefit of some of our former members. We are encouraged to hear that four souls wish to become members again in the near future. Please continue to pray for the work and all of our brethren in the Samoan islands. More photos online at www.sdarm.org.au/news

Vanuatu Seminars June 2011 Br Brian Jaksic reports of his June 2011 visit to Vanuatu. He conducted five day seminar mainly on the Last Day Events, including The Sealing Message and The Investigative Judgment. On Sabbath 75 people were in attendance. Br Luke Kneebone reports of encouraging response to a number of meetings he was able to conduct while on the fly-and-build projects. A full report will be included in our next edition of Good Tidings E-News. Watch this space. Vanuatu Fly and Build 2011 - Projects Update After four weeks of hectic activity at Malekula and Port Vila, Vanuatu, the brethren are pleased to report on their progress so far. Malekula Church Project The house of worship on the island of Malekula was almost completed with only the main door and some window shutters still to be provided for. The AUC Treasurer reports the brethren are short of $2,000 for needed materials. The floor of this structure is made of sand which was bagged and carted from the beach by our intrepid volunteers. Concrete was used as footings, forming a solid outer perimeter base for the walls. Malekula House of Worship, Vanuatu. Concrete footings form the foundation for the walls. The floor is sand

Site Preparations, Malekula, Vanuatu Sand was carted from the beach for the floor Port Vila Church Project Good progress has been made on the main Port Vila church project. The Sabbath School Offering that was taken up by General Conference will only cover for half the expenses. While the collection was just over $30,000, the purchase price of the land alone was over $12,000. That left the brethren with very little finances to build. Nevertheless, the brethren report that the roof should be on the building within the next couple of weeks. We thank you for your gifts so far in assisting the brethren in Vanuatu, and appeal for your continuing generosity in order that this project may be completed. We will update you with more specifics in our next edition of Good Tidings E-News. Port Vila Church Project as of 17 July, 2011 More photos online at www.sdarm.org.au/news

Port Vila Church Project Farewell to the volunteers Regional News New Caledonia In early April of this year, Br Brian Jaksic together with Br John Ciric made a visit to New Caledonia where they met with our church members on the island of Mare to assist in the reorganization of the work there. Br Jaksic reports, The people there are very strong in faith and of good courage. They built this beautiful church by themselves without any outside financial assistance or help in anyway. Some years ago, I had conducted seminars there. Br Balbach senior was my translator into French. This time again we conducted some good meetings and recalled the good times we had in the past.

More photos online at www.sdarm.org.au/news Engagement Br Benny Gules & Sr Amy Voncina On the 29 June, 2011, Sr Amy Voncina and Br Benny Gules announced their engagement to be married. We wish them God's richest blessing in their decision to unite their lives together in Holy Wedlock. God celebrated the first marriage. Thus the institution has for its originator the Creator of the universe. "Marriage is honourable" (Hebrews 13:4); it was one of the first gifts of God to man, and it is one of the two institutions that, after the Fall, Adam brought with him beyond the gates of Paradise. When the divine principles are recognized and obeyed in this relation, marriage is a blessing; it guards the purity and happiness of the race, it provides for man's social needs, it elevates the physical, the intellectual, and the moral nature. Ellen G. White, Patriarchs & Prophets, p.46

General Conference Session 2011 Prayer Request The 21st General Conference Session of the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement will soon commence. We would like to share a few words here from the outgoing General Conference President, Br D Sureshkumar, in reminder for us all to please uphold the session in our prayers. Dear Brethren, Sisters and Friends, Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The year 2011 is the year for the gathering of God's people in the capacity of His representatives to plan and to perform His work. I have the pleasure of extending my hearty invitation to have your presence at the 21st Session of the General Conference to witness the amazing way the Lord is blessing His people. Through these gatherings we let the world know that we are a people represented by the angel of Revelation 18 whose glory shall fill the whole earth. We will commence this convocation with the Spiritual Meetings to be held in Sibiu, Romania, from August 18 21, 2011. This will take place prior to the Delegation Session which is the "church in the Lord's business." We will use this time to thank the Lord together with our extended family of believers. The main theme for this conference, "He Is Coming," will provide the spiritual focus of the session. He is coming with all the holy angels with Him. While the whole world is plunged in darkness, there will be light in every dwelling of the saints. The angels will help us to make a thorough preparation to meet Jesus, and when He appears we may exclaim with joy, "Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us" (Isaiah 25:11). As we gather together and pray as a congregation during these Spiritual Meetings, the Holy Spirit will surely be with us and enable us to plan together in the Delegation Session. This will be a moment to rededicate ourselves to the Lord and to take the opportunity to renew our covenant with Him, and will also be a time of wonderful fellowship and spiritual refreshment. The venue for the Delegation Session is chosen to be in Porumbacu de Sus, County of Sibiu, Romania. This facility is solely owned by the church, and is situated in a beautiful natural setting surrounded by mountains. The dates for the Delegation Session are August 23 September 13, 2011. I invite you to join me through your prayers that these events may be a blessing to all of us. For Audio and Video downloads of all the Spiritual Meetings go to http://gcsession.sdarm.org/media.php For the GC Session Daily Morning and Evening Devotions, please go to http://gcsession.sdarm.org/media_devotions.htm From the Pen of Inspiration It is the glory of the gospel that it is founded upon the principle of restoring in the fallen race the divine image, by a constant manifestation of benevolence. This work began in the heavenly courts. There God decided to give human beings an unmistakable evidence of the love with which He regarded them. He "so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The Godhead was stirred with pity for the race, and the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit gave themselves to the working out of the plan of redemption. In order to fully carry out this plan, it was decided that Christ, the only begotten Son of God, should give Himself an offering for sin. What line can measure the depth of this love? Ellen G. White, Australasian Union Conference Record, April 1, 1901.
