First Baptist Church Vision Statement The First Baptist Church is the body of Christ, nurturing all parts of the body within, bringing Christ to others and others to Christ. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Church Covenant We, the members of First Baptist Church Bloomfield, having been led by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, most sincerely and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ. We pledge, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit: To attend the services of FBC Bloomfield regularly for spiritual nourishment, growth and encouragement: To walk together and watch over one another in Christian love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in times of sickness and difficulty; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation; To contribute cheerfully and regularly, according to our ability, to the support of FBC Bloomfield and its various activities; to support the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world; To strive in our family lives to make Jesus Christ the center of our homes; To cultivate a life of devotion and consecration to God; To aid and assist prayerfully, loyally and affectionately, the ministers and others who seek to strengthen the witness of FBC Bloomfield; To conduct ourselves in accordance with the principles of our Lord, in all our social and business relationships; We enter into this covenant under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, prayerfully asking for Divine guidance and help in this our earnest endeavor.

Welcome to worship! If you are a first-time guest, we have a small gift for you; please just ask. We invite all worshipers to sign the black book to help us better minister to you. If you d like a prayer request announced, please use an orange card from your pew and place it in the offering plate. Guests, your presence is a gift to us; please feel no pressure to participate in the offering. Celebration of Generosity Celebration of Generosity response cards are available in the narthex. There are two parts: one for you to keep, and one for you to give. The part you give in a box in the narthex on or after Sunday, October 7 will be entirely anonymous. It is simply an opportunity for you to physically respond to what the Lord is laying on your heart. The part you keep is for your own reference and prayer. The box in the narthex will be available through Sunday, November 18. Please do not put cash or checks in the box. Offerings will continue to be received as normal during Sunday worship services throughout 2019. Hanging of the Greens November 25 Our annual Hanging of the Greens will take place on Sunday, November 25th immediately following the worship service. The social committee will provide pizza for lunch for anyone willing to stay after and help. Movie Night / Parents Night Out - November 30 Drop off your kids (ages 3 through 6 th grade) for dinner and a movie and take some time to yourselves! Dinner will be served in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00pm followed by the movie The Star in the sanctuary. After the movie we will come back down and work on some crafts until you come to pick up your kids at 8:30pm. Volunteers! Would you like to help parents have a night off? Please talk to Kimberly Porter or Tasha Hudson if you would like to help serve dinner or interact with the kids on this Friday night. World Mission Offering Continues through November Thank you to everyone who supported the Silent Auction for the World Mission Offering. We collected a little over $1000! We will continue to receive this special offering through the end of November. Let There Be Peace on Earth Let there be peace on earth, And let it begin with me; Let there be peace on earth, The peace that was meant to be. With God our creator, Children all are we. Let us walk with each other In perfect harmony. Let peace begin with me; Let this be the moment now. With every step I take, Let this be my solemn vow: To take each moment And live each moment In peace eternally. Let there be peace on earth, And let it begin with me.
