Twenty-Third Psalm The Lord is my Shepherd: I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. In the Garden I come to the garden alone, While the dew is still on the roses; And the voice I hear, falling on my ear, The Son of God discloses. He speaks, and the sound of his voice Is so sweet the birds hush their singing; And the melody that he gave to me Within my heart is ringing. I d stay in the garden with him Tho the night around me be falling; But he bids me go; thru the voice of woe, His voice to me is calling. And he walks with me, and he talks with me, And he tells me I am his own, And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known.
