Hello, my name is Ellen Lee. The past three years I ve lived in Tacoma, WA, but I originally came from South Korea. I graduated from Pierce College with a general Associate s degree in March. After I graduated, I worked at St. Charles Borromeo parish in Tacoma as an aide to the Pastoral Assistant until I moved to Seattle at the end of August. I discovered my vocation to religious life through spending times with priests, religious sisters, and seminarians since I became a Catholic when I was 14. It was from them that I Hi! My name is Bridget Collart. I grew up in Georgia as part of a big family of nine children (five boys and four girls). I arrived here at St. Alphonsus in mid-august and am an Aspirant with the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity. I graduated from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS in 2016 with my degree in nursing, and have been working in a hospital for the past two years. I ve felt that God might be calling me to life as a sister since my senior year in college, and am thrilled to finally be here with the sisters. I m helping out in the preschool classroom this year with some amazing teachers and kids, and am excited to learn first realized the potential to be called to espousal with the Lord. I first met the S.O.L.T Sisters last year through a friend from my previous parish in Tacoma. Then, through conversations with Sisters, I found my vocation into SOLT community. I love being a missionary and working for our Church. I am happy to be here at St. Alphonsus parish and school during the formation years, and also excited to meet more of the parish family. 2 St. Alphonsus Parish Served by the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Design by Hovie - www.hovie.com

CALLED TO SERVE AS CHRIST Why should the Archdiocese assist individual women religious orders? Sisters who have and will serve in the Archdiocese need and deserve an adequate and dignified retirement. With the assistance of women religious leaders serving in our Archdiocese, we have identified a strategy to address their needs through this campaign. Some women religious orders face similar issues paralleling archdiocesan priests. Aiding the sisters pension and healthcare needs will allow them to continue their ministries, sharing God s love and presence with others. Seven legacy orders of women religious will each receive one-eighth of the women religious portion of the campaign. Expanded ministry congregations, those whose provincial headquarters are located outside of the Archdiocese but expanded their ministry to the Pacific Northwest (including SOLT), will receive the remaining one-eighth of the funds to distribute among themselves. ROSARY RALLY Please join us in St. Alphonsus parking lot at noon on October 13 for America Needs Fatima Rosary Rally. Light reception will follow in Family Center. RESPECT LIFE O Holy Mary, cradle the lives of those addicted or imprisoned, look with love on young mothers who are afraid, hear the cry of those who wake to pain, strengthen those who have grown weak with age... Hail Mary full of grace. This weekend nationwide Catholics celebrate Respect Life Sunday. Our parish will be reciting a Respect Life Rosary after the 8 am Mass. Please join us.
