Please join us this evening at 5:00 PM for our Christmas Eve Service ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the Name of Jesus, every knee should bow, all things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11 WELCOME: In this day before Christmas, we welcome one and all as we worship in the Name of Jesus who came to earth to redeem us so that we might be born again and made children of God. May our adoration of Him today be just as sincere as the Shepherds and the Wisemen at his crude crib. Please join us in the Fellowship Hall following the morning service for refreshments and fellowship. There will be NO Children s Church this morning. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES In morning worship, we have been exploring answers to the Christmas carol question, What Child is This? He is True Human, True God, our Perfect Prophet, and this morning, our fourth answer to the question is in the line, The Cross Be Borne For Me, For You Jesus is also our Great High Priest. In order to be welcomed and approved in God s presence, you need the work of a priest, and Hebrews 7:1-28 explains why Jesus is exactly the priest that we need to stand approved before the only opinion that matters. This evening we will have a Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols, where Scripture texts that speak of the birth of Jesus are joined to popular carols along the same theme. Pastor Drew s message will provide the final answer to What Child is This? in the main line of the chorus: This, This is Christ the King! Matthew 22:41-46 presses upon us not only the most important Christmas question of what we think about Christ, but also the important answer that the Son of David is also David s and our Eternal King.

In 2016, The Banquet served 196,000 meals, and at least 25,000 of those meals were served to children under 12. We go through approximately 15,000 gallons of milk each year. (from thebanquetsf.org)
