9:30 worship We Gather to Worship the Triune God Prelude: Glory Lisa Gungor *We Receive God s Greeting *Song: Creator of the Stars of Night Words: Red Hymnal 71:1-3 Tune: High Street Hymns We Light the Advent Candle of Joy Today we light the candle of Joy, for God has done mighty things! May our worship be full of light as God is full of light! In this light, we can see God s light, and gaze in wonder at all he has made. We can look at one another the community God has given us and smile. Brothers and sisters, pray with me now, as in joy, we ponder the gifts of our good God. Creator God, as we gaze into the heavens in the quietness and mystery of the night, we marvel at the splendor of all that you have made. We are humbly grateful for the ways you have gifted us to discover the wonders of the heavens, so far beyond all that we might have imagined. Then, when we discover that the one through whom you made all of this comes among us to heal and save us, our hearts overflow with astonishment and wonder. We can only begin to fathom the depths of your love. How great you are. How marvelous are your ways! Alleluia! Amen. *Song: Creator of the Stars of Night Words: Red Hymnal 71:4,5 Tune: High Street Hymns *We Greet One Another *Please stand if you are able.
