Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don t fire cannons to call attention to their shining - they just shine. Dwight L. Moody The headline of March 23, 2017 read, Sarasota Manatee region population is growing rapidly! 10th fastest in the Nation Our opportunity is greater today than at anytime I can remember as your pastor! From an external view it is a time full of possibilities. Downtown is thriving! Condos and apartments are being built all around us! Seasonal guests in Sarasota are at all time levels. From an internal view we see expanded ministries, dynamic music and worship, new parking capacity being developed, campus renovations completed, and a new church plant in Manatee County. This will be my final opportunity to invite you to join the FirstSarasota family on Sunday evening at the Hyatt Regency for our Celebration Banquet! It will be a night for praising and rejoicing in what God has allowed us to be a part of these past many years! In the coming months we are going to see the Lord work through the lives of so many who call FirstSarasota home. I am constantly amazed at the faith stories I hear from many of you. I know the heart of God celebrates when His children allow themselves to be used in making His good news known throughout our region and world. Sunday night is for looking back and giving thanks, looking forward with great anticipation, and for celebrating in the here and now for what God is doing! We will be talking about this evening for years to come. You will not want to miss it! Can t wait to see you there! Blessings! This is the moment that we were reborn for as individuals and as a church body! This is FirstSarasota s grand moment! We can choose to let our light shine from the heart of this great church into the lives of people who live in this great city. Join us for an Easter Worship Service on Sunday, April 16 at or Please note Classes will not meet on Easter Sunday.
