Brush Information Waste Management provides weekly brush pickup in Campton Township. If you reside in Campton Hills and live in Plato Township, your trash service provider is DC Trash and follows a different contract. Do not put any yard waste into your garbage cans. Mixed loads cannot legally be collected, and will be left at your home. Tree and bush branches can be securely tied together into bundles for pick-up. Attach a Waste Management yard waste sticker to each bundle. Bundles cannot exceed 4 in length, 2 in diameter or weigh more than 50 pounds. Waste Management yard waste stickers may be purchased at Village Hall and the Outpost, as well as most neighboring grocery stores. The Campton Township Highway District offers brush pick-up as a service to township residents. It collects brush according to an announced schedule each year. For details call the Highway District at 630-365-9300 or see the Campton Township website, then click on the Highway District button at the top of the page, then on the BRUSH REMOVAL button on the left. Please make sure your brush conforms to the Highway District guidelines for pick-up. In the event of a severe weather event, please call them to inquire about a special brush pick-up.

Burning Rules Snow Removal Burning Brush and Snow Information Brush is the only material that can legally be burned in most areas of the Village. Includes: tree trunks, limbs, branches and twigs. Brush may be burned in two manners: 1. Recreational fires are allowed any time, as long as they are no larger than 3 x 3 x 3 2. Larger piles of brush may be burned only under certain conditions: A. Sunny Day B. Between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM C. Wind Speed is less than 10 MPH D. Brush shall be dry when burned E. Burning is not permitted on public or private roads, alleys, sidewalks or easements F. Must be supervised G. Cannot be within 20 FT of any structure of property line H. A fire extinguisher or water source shall be available at the burning site I. It is the owners responsibility to determine satisfactory conditions for burning Please keep cars off the street until a storm is done and your street has been plowed Snow plows will discharge snow to the curbside of the street and inevitably into some driveways; if you can delay shoveling your driveway until the street has been plowed you will save yourself a lot of hassle. If your mailbox is accidently knocked over the township will replace your mailbox with a standard 4 x 4 wood post mailbox or reimburse the homeowner $75.00 for a new one. Call (630) 365-9300 if this happens.
