Who has brought that news to me? Who needs me to carry that news to them! Large print bulletins are available, and children s bulletins are available on the table in the Narthex. A nursery is available for infants up to 5 years-of-age.

Those who are able are invited to stand. PRELUDE And the Glory of the Lord G. F. Handel LIFE OF THE CONGREGATION Moment of silence to prepare your hearts for worship SONG OF DEVOTION (hymnal & screen) (please remain seated) #542 My Life Is in You, Lord LET US WORSHIP GOD TOGETHER CALL TO WORSHIP Leader: Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; People: His right hand and His Holy arm have worked salvation for Him. Leader: The Lord has made His salvation known and revealed His righteousness to the nations. People: He has remembered His love and His faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. INVOCATION Leader: Holy God, gather Your people together and make us holy like You are. Purge from us our sin and restore us to Your fellowship so that our worship might bring You glory. Drive the tempter from our lives and protect us from all evil. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. SONGS OF PRAISE (screen) His Mercy is More Refiner s Fire CALL TO CONFESSION: (Psalm 51:1-6) Leader: Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight; so You are right in Your verdict and justified when You judge. Surely, I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Yet You desired

faithfulness even in the womb; You taught me wisdom in that secret place. Let us turn to God for the cleansing of our sins. Please join me in silent prayer. SILENT PRAYER PRAYER OF CONFESSION Unison: Merciful God, only You can make us clean. We have stained ourselves with sin. Our lives bear the darkness of evil. Come and wash us! Burn out of our lives all that is evil and restore us to Your presence, for we are unable to clean ourselves. Only You have the power to forgive and restore us to righteousness. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON: (Psalm 51:7-12 Leader: Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones You have crushed rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Sisters and brothers in Christ, believe the good news: through faith in Christ we are forgiven.
