A Prayer after Communion Dear Lord, thank You for setting this table and inviting us here, for joining us for dinner and feeding us. We came here famished, and You filled us. We came here parched, and You quenched our deepest thirst. We came here shattered, and You healed us, body and soul. We came here lost and wandering, and You directed us back to You. We came here sin-infested, and You forgave us. We came here exhausted, and You renewed us. We came here aware of our wants, and You filled our deepest needs. Now Lord, we ask do not let us stay here; but like Your Son, let us sing a hymn of praise, enter a garden of prayer, and march into our field of service. As this table was set, all for us, may we live our lives all for You. In Your Son s name, Amen. WE RESPOND TO GOD S WORD *The Hymn No. 391 Will You Let Me Be Your Servant? *The Benediction The Postlude Jesus, Thou Joy of Loving Hearts H. Baker
