Call to Worship John s Gospel Chapter 1 verses 1 to 4 and 14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Angels from the realms of glory, wing your flight through all the earth; heralds of creation s story, now proclaim Messiah s birth! 5 verses
Come and worship Christ, the new-born King; come and worship, worship Christ the new-born King.
2. Shepherds in the fields abiding, watching by your flocks at night, God with man is now residing: see, there shines the infant Light!
Come and worship Christ, the new-born King; come and worship, worship Christ the new-born King.
3. Wise men, leave your contemplations! brighter visions shine afar; seek in Him the hope of nations, you have seen His rising star:
Come and worship Christ, the new-born King; come and worship, worship Christ the new-born King.
4. Though an infant now we view Him, He will share His Father s throne, gather all the nations to Him; every knee shall then bow down:
Come and worship Christ, the new-born King; come and worship, worship Christ the new-born King.
5. All creation, join in praising God the Father, Spirit, Son, Evermore your voices raising To the eternal Three in One:
Come and worship Christ, the new-born King; come and worship, worship Christ the new-born King. James Montgomery 1771 1854 CCLI 2402828 DMPC CCL 17322
From the squalor of a borrowed stable by the Spirit and a virgin s faith; to the anguish and the shame of scandal came the Saviour of the human race! 4 verses
But the skies were filled with the praise of heaven, shepherds listen as the angels tell of the gift of God come down to man at the dawning of Immanuel.
2. King of heaven now the friend of sinners, humble servant in the Father s hands, filled with power and the Holy Spirit, filled with mercy for the broken man.
Yes, He walked my road and He felt my pain, joys and sorrows that I know so well; yet His righteous steps give me hope again I will follow my Immanuel!
3. Through the kisses of a friend s betrayal, He was lifted on a cruel cross; He was punished for a world s transgressions, He was suffering to save the lost.
He fights for breath, he fights for me, loosing sinners from the claims of hell; and with a shout our souls are free death defeated by Immanuel!
4. Now He s standing in the place of honour, crowned with glory on the highest throne, interceding for His own belovèd till His Father calls to bring them home!
Then the skies will part as the trumpet sounds hope of heaven or the fear of hell; but the bride will run to her lover s arms, giving glory to Immanuel! Stuart Townend 1999 Kingsway s Thankyou Music DMPC CCL 17322 CCLI 2733786
Prayer & Lord s Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name: Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever. Amen

Of the Father s love begotten ere the worlds began to be, He is Alpha and Omega, He the source and ending He, of the things that are, that have been, and that future years shall see, evermore and evermore.
2. By His word was all created; He commanded; it was done: heaven and earth and depths of ocean, universe of three in one; all that sees the moon s soft shining, all that breathes beneath the sun, evermore and evermore.
3. O that birth for ever blessèd, when the Virgin, full of grace, by the Spirit s power conceiving, bore the Saviour of our race, and the Babe the world s Redeemer, first revealed His sacred face, evermore and evermore.
4. This is He whom seers and sages sang of old with one accord, whom the voices of the prophets promised in their faithful word; now He shines, the long-expected; let creation praise its Lord, evermore and evermore.
5. All the heights of heaven, adore Him; angel hosts, His praises sing; powers, dominions bow before Him, and extol our God and King; let no tongue on earth be silent, every voice in concert ring, evermore and evermore.
6. Christ to Thee, with God the Father, and, O Holy Ghost, to Thee, hymn and chant and high thanksgiving, and unwearied praises be,
honour, glory, and dominion, and eternal victory, evermore and evermore. Prudentius (348 c.413) translated John Mason Neale (1818 1866) and Henry Williams Baker (1821 1877) CCLI 4780029 DMPC CCL 17322
1 Corinthians 15:50-58 NIV (p.1156)
50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality,
then the saying that is written will come true: Death has been swallowed up in victory. 55 Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.
There will come a day When all your troubles fly away In the twinkling of an eye, In the twinkling of an eye 5 verses, chorus after every two
You will hear the trumpets And your body shall be changed And you ll feel What it means to be alive
2. And your deaf old ears Will hear him for the first time And it s like the sweetest voice you ever knew And the holes in his hands, In his hands, Will be all you need to know Of Jesus perfect love for you
And we shall all be changed, In the twinkling of an eye In the twinkling of an eye We will be changed And we shall all be changed, In the twinkling of an eye Like the lightning in the sky We will be changed
3. I have heard the gospel of the saviour s love for me And it cannot be denied, No it cannot be denied Jesus gave His life So helpless sinners could be free Then he rose from the grave And he s alive!
4. Though this frail old flesh Is not ready to receive it Yet, we know and we believe We re going home When his blood-bought bride Will arise. Will arise and see the glory Of the lamb upon His throne
And we shall all be changed, In the twinkling of an eye In the twinkling of an eye We will be changed And we shall all be changed, In the twinkling of an eye Like the lightning in the sky We will be changed
5. There will come a day When all my labour is complete And it shall not be in vain, No it shall not be in vain I will lay my treasures down Before my Saviour s feet And I ll rise up To meet him in the sky
And a voice from the throne Will declare that now forever, God will live among His people every day With no more to mourn As our tears, are long forgotten And the former things Have all but passed away
And we shall all be changed, In the twinkling of an eye In the twinkling of an eye We will be changed And we shall all be changed, In the twinkling of an eye Like the lightning in the sky We will be changed
Yes we shall all be changed, In the twinkling of an eye In the twinkling of an eye We will be changed And we shall all be changed, In the twinkling of an eye Like the lightning in the sky We will be changed Greg de Blieck CCLI 7058204 DMPC CCL 17322
