One of Many The modern world keeps us going at a fast pace. We work outside the home, we work inside the home, we go to school, we parent, we minister and we exercise. There is little time for rest and reflection, let alone time to be refreshed in God. Four times a year, our Presbytery offers us a valuable opportunity to be refreshed in God, who will give us rest and prepare us for what lies ahead in the busy world. Do yourself a favor join in a Lenten morning of Retreat, Lectio Divina, Silence, Communion, Lunch and Quiet Fellowship. Come to One of Many. Church Life MUSIC NOTES In Christ Alone In Christ alone my hope is found; He is my light, my strength, my song; this cornerstone, this solid ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace when fears are stilled, when strivings cease. My comforter, my all in all, here in the love of Christ I stand. In Christ alone, who took my flesh, fullness of God in helpless babe! This gift of love and righteousness, scorned by the ones He came to save. Til on that cross, as Jesus died, the love of God was magnified; for every sin on Him was laid. Here in the death of Christ I live. There in the ground His body lay, light of the world by darkness slain. Then bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again! And as He stands in victory, sin s curse has lost its grip on me. For I am His and He is mine, bought with the precious blood of Christ. No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me. From life s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no human plan, can ever pluck me from His hand. Til He returns or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I stand! At the Name of Jesus Jesus, though He was God did not cling to His rights as God, but laid aside His mighty power, His mighty power and glory. Taking the form of a servant, and becoming like men. He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even death on the cross! At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow in heaven and in earth. That every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! At the name of Jesus! Words: Cindy Berry 1985 Word Music. All rights reserved.
