Group: Sam, Alex, Phil, Ali... Call We re just back after collecting my Dad from the airport. He is home for my 13 th birthday and for the Synagogue ceremony. It s great that all the family will be together for the occasion. I m nervous about being the centre of attention during the ceremony but I ll draw courage from knowing that God and my family are by my side. Sam Alex: Yes I agree, it s great the way religion can unite people. Yesterday there was a prayer service in my Church. The place was crowded. We prayed for people in need who are going through hard times and thanked God for all the good things in life. Phil: Tell me why you are so sure about the existence of God? I m doubtful about the existence of God. My friend has just died and I m wondering Why do people have to die so young? I can see how religion helps people to deal with hard times in their lives but I find it difficult to believe when I cannot see God or prove for certain that God exists.
