Old Testament Bible Puzzles and Activities By Bill Brinkworth 3
All quoted scripture is from the King James Bible only! Copyright 2013 by Bill Brinkworth All Rights Reserved 4
Introduction Although puzzles are fun for most, the intent of this booklet is to use the puzzles to educate about the Word of God, the Bible. This booklet is designed so that one can sit down and complete the puzzles and exercises and learn about God s Word at the same time. There is no other book that is as important as the Bible. Hopefully, those that do the activities will not only learn something about God s Book, but may be encouraged to read it for themselves. Each page includes a puzzle, either wordsearch or simple crossword puzzle. The activities can be completed by most third-graders and above. The included artwork can also be colored with crayons or colored pencils. Most questions include a biblical reference, so the student can know where to find the answers. In the back of the booklet, all answers are included. Not only can these exercises be used by any individual for entertainment, they can also be reproduced as many times as are needed and can be used for any Sunday school, vacation Bible school, or any situation where it is desired to teach the Bible. The pages can be copied on a computer printer or a copy machine and handed out to students as seat work or to be taken home; so that, as they complete the pages, they are reminded of the Word of God during the week. Being able to reproduce as many pages as needed saves buying one booklet per student. The black and white design will reproduce well in most machines. This booklet includes many of the most common accounts in the Old Testament; so, to reinforce a lesson, each student can leave with an activity sheet. Very importantly, all Scripture referenced is from the King James Bible only! When a verse is reinforced, it is the complete verse (unless it is indicated that it is partial). Too many activity workbooks today use partial verses or verses from a modern translation, and this often changes the meaning of verses. Because of this, the student may not always learn what the Bible truly says. I hope you enjoy completing these exercises, and that they are a blessing to you and/or your students. 5
