PSALM 19 VS 14 Greetings, May the blessings from above shower you as we head into the summer months. The month of May was a busy one! I would like to thank our presenters at the First Masonic Workshop held in Castle Rock May 3rd, MWPGM Sauls, MWPGM Cummings, MWPGM De Los Reyes, MWPGM Gray, PGWP Phillips, PGWM Neal and RWGL Thomas. GWM Favors and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and expertise; to all the Brothers and Sister that attended thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to learn more about our craft. I attended the Denver Commanders of the Rite Annual Banquet and congratulations to the new inductees GIG James English and the FIRST female inductee Freddie C. Whitney, Past Loyal Lady Ruler; it was a wonderful affair. Thank you to WMs Groce #7 and Davis #26 for the wonderful repass during my official visitation, we had a good attendance and great fellowship took place! Congrats to Centennial Lodge #4 for hosting our first annual Table Lodge, see pictures. I attended the Conference of Grand Masters, Grand Matrons & Patrons in Jackson Mississippi, with MWPGM J. Sauls, MWPGM F. Blue, MWPGM S. Smith, and MWPGM TC. Neal, DDGM U. Cooper, GWM L. Favors, PGWM A. Harris, PGWM MJ. Neal and GAM F. Cooper. The Most Worshipful Stringer Grand Lodge and host MWGM Maurice F. Lucas, Sr. rolled out the red carpet and welcomed us to the hospitality state. Key Items from the conference: 1) a Prince Hall directory will be published listing all the Grand Lodges and Grand Chapters and their subordinate bodies. 2) A universal demit process is not feasible, but each Jurisdiction will send to the conference secretary their demit process to be published. 3) New officers were elected: President-MWPGM John Bettis from New Jersey, Vice President-MWGM Toby Finch North Carolina and the Secretary & Treasurer retained their office. The United Supreme Council Northern Jurisdiction (USC) 133 rd Annual Session was held in Cincinnati, Ohio I received a very warm welcome by the host MW Grand Master Darryl R. Smith; I personally thanked our Sovereign Grand Commander (SGC) Dr. Solomon Wallace for the hospitality and amenities he provided to Minnie Rae Hunter and her family on behalf of Samuel C. Hunter Jr. Deputy Hunter had been the senior Deputy of the USC for close to a decade if not longer and it was appropriate to have a class named in his honor The Samuel C. Hunter Jr. Class of 2014 and thanks to GIG Loran Smith for his presentation and tee shirts he provided to the class. I felt this was a very special session for Colorado jurisdiction two of our own earned and were bestowed the purple crown; our new Deputy of the Orient SGIG Lionell Cummings and Overseer SGIG Van Harvey, Congratulations! We also have the only two widows of the USC Northern Jurisdiction; Marie Greenwood (she turned 101 last week) and Minnie Rae Hunter. Congratulations to Deion Hardy, graduate from the USAFA; and to PM Foster Western Star Lodge #6 turned 90 May 29 th. Thank you to WM Wright #1 for hosting the Grand Master s Class, WM s Davis #26, Mays #4, Bryant #5, Groce #7 and Wright #27 for the outstanding degree work performance. We brought 15 new Master Mason into our fraternity, under the name of Sylvester Smith Class of 2014. We were received on the red carpet by IP Phil Hause and his lady Christin. After the introductions and formality everyone enjoyed a night of dancing music was provided by Tony Davis & Wildefire they were really good! Building Strong Men (BSM) We are in need of mentors, the number of mentees are increasing and as you may know the number young men needing male figures living in single family households with no fathers are on the raise. The purpose of our organization is to try to assist these young men in developing into responsible, productive citizens and avoiding the criminal system. NEWS ARTICLES Electa Chapter #16 OES PHA has been committed to service and providing for families in need. On May 10 th, members of Electa donated over 35 gifts to the children of the Refugee Outreach Program, sponsored by the Denver Rescue Mission. The gifts were donated so the children could surprise their mothers on Mother s Day! Brown Court No. 1 of Colorado s Jurisdiction. Colorado Court Josephine F. Brown No. 21 was established March 21 st, 1981 under the jurisdiction of Missouri; District No. 10. Most Excellent Grand High Priest Charles E. Jones Jr., released Josephine F. Brown Court No. 21 to Colorado s Holy Royal Arch Masons in 1999. Josephine F. Brown Court No. 21 than became Josephine F. Brown Court No. 1. During our visit to Missouri Jurisdiction several highlights took place; one of the highlights was the Consecration Service on May 16 th at 8:00 a.m. This service is done every year during Grand Court Convocation to bless the meeting rooms and the working tools of the day. Another exceptional highlight was the Red and White Banquet hosted on May 16 th at 6:30p.m. During the Banquet Grand Excellent King Dr. Lee Hill and several colleagues of his dentistry practice were introduced. The provide reconstructive surgery to battered woman in the St. Louis, Missouri area at no charge. The recipient for this year was selected and the Holy Royal Arch Masons of Missouri was credited for a job well done. The most astounding highlight of the Convocation was when Colorado Jurisdiction made history on May 17 th, 2014. Companion William C. Hardy Jr., Grand Excellent King, Tami L. Benifield-Mampoya Vice Ancient Matron and Earline L. Hardy Past Most Ancient Matron of Colorado Jurisdiction were initiated as Honorary Members of Missouri jurisdiction. This was the first time in 140 years that Heroines were made Honorary Members, by the powers and prerogative of the Most Excellent Grand High Priest

From the Desk of the Grand Worthy Matron Columbine Grand Chapter mourns the loss of two Past Matrons, PM Esliva Hilton Gilbert of Evergreen Chapter No. 3, and PM Carolyn Bass of Queen Esther Chapter No. 2. They had both served several appointed positions within Columbine Grand Chapter, and they both loved to participate in the Queen Contest. I travelled to Jackson, Mississippi on May 14, 2014 to attend the Conference of Grand Matrons. I was accompanied by the Grand Associate Matron Freddie Cooper, PWGM Annette Harris, PGWM Mary Jane Neal, PM Alton Smith and PP Torrence Neal. The Jurisdiction of Mississippi rolled out the red carpet, and their hospitality was outstanding, we were treated to chocolate covered strawberries, peanuts, and sparkling grape juice. We were transported by bus and van to their lodge for the Jurisdiction hospitality, where they served over 500 sisters and brothers that were seated at their lodge. The Grand Worthy Matron of Mississippi treated all Past Grand Worthy Matrons and Past Grand Worthy Patrons to breakfast on Saturday morning. Thanks to all the Sisters and Brothers that have shown so much love and concern for PGWP J. Douglas Vaughn- Harris. Special thanks to PM Linda Green-Haywood for all the support she has given to the Bass Family, and also special thanks to WM Antoinette and WP Ed Dow for all the assistance they provided to the family of PM Esliva Hilton Gilbert.
