The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad. Psalm 126:3 WELCOME: A sincere and warm-hearted welcome to each one here today. May our worship be genuine. May our vision be renewed as we bring worship to our God. May His Name be praised through our lives and may His Word rule in every heart. Please join us after the morning service for a time of refreshment in the Fellowship Hall. The cookies this morning are a Thank You from Sarah Kraayenbrink for your years of dedication and prayer for her as a part of this congregation. Sarah will be moving this week to DakotAbilities in Sioux Falls and asks for continued prayer and support as she and her parents go through this time of transition. Children aged 3-5 meet your teachers in the Narthex during the offering this morning for Children s Church. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES Do you ever find yourself jealous of non-believers? Do you sometimes think the lifestyle of the world seems more appealing than that of the Christian? We return to a section of Proverbs this morning that reminds us why we ought not to envy those who are far from the Lord. Proverbs 23:12-24:2 reminds us of Full Stomachs and Empty Hearts. Since our focus in the morning sermons has been on wisdom, this evening we will be focusing on how the Holy Spirit is the true source of wisdom from God. 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 introduces you to your personal provider of wisdom, the Holy Spirit. PRAYERS AND PRAISES Marie Kok will be staying in her home for the time being, instead of going to the Care Center as previously announced. Please be in prayer for Sheryl Brondsema as she and Gene travel to Mayo Clinic for a checkup this week Wednesday.

Thank you for remembering us with your visits, cards and memorials during this time of saying goodbye to our mother, Susie DeWaard. We re so glad to be a part of the family of God. ~Sheryl & Gene Brondsema OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS Church membership at Platte CRC: We believe that church membership is an important, Biblical call for Christians and the church, and so Pastor Drew will be hosting a Membership Luncheon after morning worship next week Sunday, May 21.
