Richie s Report We have had a busy time the last three days. Friday afternoon saw 12 members plant Westringia plants along the back and side fence at Telegraph Park. After purchasing more hedging plants (Tom Thumbs) at Saturday s Farmers Market, Bill and I planted them straight away, on the nature strip edge. To finish our Telegraph Park project we still need to hook up the dripper system, plant around the toilet area, mulch, sweep and clean up. Saturday s Farmers Market looked great down in the park, any suggestions on how we can encourage more stall holders? Ride The Ranges was again a big success, on a beautiful Sunday. There was lots of positive feedback from the approximately 180 participants. Well done Neil, Kerrie and Team. Our Meat Raffle was also successful on the weekend, with sales around the $600 over the two events. Cheers Richie. Thursday s Meeting Tubby & Denis discuss some aspects of Ride the Ranges organisation for Sunday.

Gary Mason gave members and guests the run down on his life before Rotary, thank you, Gary and welcome to the club. Neil Tubb took a bit of time to outline what was needed for Sunday s Ride the Ranges. AG Sally Matheson spoke about the saving of stamps for the trachoma project and feedback is being sought for the Yarrawonga Conference Director Vocational Ken McLennan asked that Rotarians need to register for the Bill Kelty Breakfast as soon as possible for catering purposes. Brian Bamford spoke about the Opening of Telegraph Park on Sunday, 29 at 2:30 Gary told us that he was born and raised in Shepparton, he was married to Dymphna and recently lost her to Altzheimer s disease. He has 3 children and 10 grandchildren. He worked in senior positions in the ANZ Bank for 50 years, He is delighted to be a member of the club and to offer himself as secretary of the club for the next Rotary year.

And Another Brilliant Ride the Ranges Kerrie and Neil Tubb Neil & Kerrie Tubb are the dynamic duo organising this terrific event for our club. Although members all do our bit, it just wouldn t happen without their great management, thank you to you both. 157 riders preregistered for the day with on the day registrations down a bit on last year, numbers close to the same as last year. It is interesting to note that only 6 riders were locals, great to attract mostly outside $s. Stay tuned to what the club made for our efforts. An added bonus was $300 taken on the Fill Your Freezer Raffle Bill Sargood captured our wonderful park before the ride on Sunday, how beautiful is this!

Tubby sends the 30 k riders on their way. The happy barbecue team One of our happy riders, did the whole 85k ride dressed like this!

This lovely message was received regarding our Ride the Ranges Event held this weekend

Friday late afternoon saw many Rotarians and partners make light work of plantings in the new Telegraph Park which will be officially opened next Sunday afternoon. This is just another example of how the club pulls together. This weekend this working bee, the Saturday Farmer s Market and Sunday s Ride the Ranges! Don Board, Brian Bamford & Bill Sargood rest after lots of hole digging for planting. Gillian Allen waters, Yvonne Clarke tidies, Mandy Edwards smiles & Linda Bennett poses
