SUNDAY CLASSES BEGINNING JANUARY 6, 2019: Trip Cofield is facilitating Faith Sharing in his Sunday class. If we are honest with ourselves, we would rather do almost anything for the church EXCEPT share our faith or witness to another person! Yet that is exactly what Jesus' marching orders were to his first disciples 2,000 years ago - and to us, his present-day disciples. A nine-week study of the book "Faith-Sharing: Dynamic Christian Witnessing By Invitation" by H. Eddie Fox and George E. Morris will be offered beginning January 6 th. The class will be held on Sunday mornings at the church 9:00-9:45 before Sunday Worship. We will learn the answers to the fundamental questions of why, who, what, when and how of sharing one's faith with another. Pastor Bryan has reminded us there are no bench warmers when it comes to witnessing - we are all called to get into the game of sharing our faith stories! Please sign up for the class with the Church Office. John Balis is leading the Crusaders class on Sunday mornings at 9 am before Worship. The Crusaders meet in the grand tradition of Methodist Sunday School. The study guide is the Uniform Series International Bible Lessons published by Standard Publishing. Scripture is taken from the Holy Bible, New International Version, but discussions often reference The King James and other versions. The studies for the Winter Quarter are titled Our Love for God with reference to Deuteronomy, Psalms, Matthew, and Luke. Come join us please let the church office know if you are planning to attend the Crusaders class. Barbara Nixon is leading the Covenant class on Sunday mornings at 9 am prior to Worship. This class has completed the Parables of Jesus and will now be learning about the ministry of Jesus. We use various teaching materials as well as videos to learn about the life and teachings of Jesus. If you are interested in joining our class, please contact the church office. OTHER CLASS OPPORTUNITES DURING THE WEEK: Casey Vaandering's small group will be studying Fruit of the Spirit: KINDNESS Reaching out to others the story of the Good Samaritan is reenacted every day. Whether it's a family on the side of the road with car trouble, or a panhandler asking for spare change, we either pass by or reach out in kindness. This Fruit of the Spirit Bible study will inspire kindness toward others by revealing God's kindness to you. The eight- week Bible study not only helps you discover what the Bible says about the vital trait that the Holy Spirit produces in believers, but also moves you beyond reflection and discussion to application. Classes will start 1/7/2019 at the church on Mondays at 10 am. Cost of the study book is $7.00. Contact the church office if you plan to attend Casey s class. Paul Sullivan s small group study will be a continuation of Jesus Parables. It will be a 6-week segment looking at such parables as the Prodigal Son, the Good Samaritan and others. We discern what Jesus is saying to us specifically as we read and discuss His message. We will be using a book by James W. Moore called Jesus Parables of Grace. The book is $8.80 and will be ordered on 12/21. The class is scheduled to start on 1/17/19 and will be held at the Plantation Fitness Center at 4 pm on Thursdays. We hope you will attend and invite a friend. Expect to be transformed. Please contact the church office if you are interested in attending Paul s class. Pastor Bryan will continue with his class on Wednesday afternoons at 4 pm focusing on Grace. Anyone is welcomed to attend.
