This year, part of the proceeds from McMannen's Meals for Missions Dinner on Saturday, September 13 will benefit this ministry by raising important funds, but that's not the only way we can help! On October 3rd and 4th, members of our District will gather together at Haw River UMC to assemble and prepare to ship shoe boxes filled with vital supplies, donated by district churches. We need your help! If you would be willing to donate a couple of hours of time on Friday, October 3rd working alongside Pastor Ed and others from around the district, please RSVP to Anggie in the office by September 22 so we can get registered. We will meet at McMannen at 4:00. As an added bonus, you can ride along with Pastor Ed on a fun-filled road trip! We know it is the day before our beloved Fall Festival, but vulnerable children on the other side of the world are counting on our sacrifice! We need your help!!!! To prepare for this incredible outreach opportunity we are holding a LEGO Brick Drive. Please consider donating old and new LEGO bricks and accessories. All LEGOS can be delivered to Jackie s office. Thursday nights will never be the same! Join us from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 2 as the Children's Council hosts "The LEGO Movie" as a kick off for our next CLUBS activity!! Then join us from 6:30 pm -8:00 pm the next seven Thursdays at our LEGO CLUBS as we help kids ages 4-12 experience the wonder and adventure of the Bible from the Master Builder himself and build their faith brick by brick. Adult volunteers are needed, so please contact Jackie Rohde Bolen if you can help in any way.
