To My House Of Hope Macon Family, It is with divine love that I greet you! Truly we ve all been graced to be the recipients of an abiding providential benevolence. Without any sense of equivocation, we should radically give glory, honor and praise to our Great God! Utter amazement overtakes me when I look at what God has done in Middle Georgia in less than 3 years! The messages, ministry, mission and motivation that have emanated from this place in such short order should leave us with hearts filled with deep appreciation. Often being connected to something can desensitize us to reality and lead us to normalize things that are extremely rare and unique. Please know that what God has done so expeditiously in this ministry is anything but the status quo! This congregation is a great testimony to the power and miraculous nature of the Divine! To God Be The Glory! As we close out the 2nd year of this ministry and begin the 3rd year next month, I am filled with anticipation! I know that God has even greater things in store for us! As a matter of fact, we haven t even begun to scratch the surface of the things God has for and will do through The House of Hope Macon! This city, region, state, nation and world will all attest to what can happen when believers commit to vision, worship, leadership, follow-ship, ministry, love, outreach, unity, teamwork, excellence, sacrifice and service. Daily I thank God for Pastor Reginald Wayne Sharpe, Jr. Fourteen years ago, I was blessed to connect with a gifted adolescent who has now become a grown man and a tremendous preacher! The growth of this ministry perfectly parallels the growth of Pastor Sharpe. I am more than convinced that 2018 will be the most remarkable year in Pastor Sharpe s pastorate as well as in our church s brief history! I can sense it with every fabric of my being! In closing, please consider what you can do to make our ministry a better place. How can you become more committed? What can you contribute? What visions can you help to fulfill? What pains can you help to heal? What tensions can you alleviate? What causes can you help to elevate? If each of us would honestly pose and answer the aforementioned questions, I am certain that there will be no limits and obstacles that can hinder God s purposes in our ministry. Please know that I am consumed by a passion to do everything possible to assist Pastor Sharpe in serving you! I desire to continue to water and nurture every seed that has been planted amongst us! Until I see you again, never forget that if you will be good to God, then God will be good to you! All Because Of Calvary, Dr. E. Dewey Smith, Jr. Senior Pastor/Teacher
Dear House of Hope Macon, It is with divine love and ever-flowing joy that I greet you. My heart is filled with peace every time I remember you. God has truly proven to be Sovereign and sufficient in this Year of G.R.O.W.T.H. Our outreach initiatives have grown, our bible study attendance has grown, our maturity in handling conflict has grown, and most of all our faith has grown. It is vital that I say thank you. Our Senior Pastor has trusted me to lead a young vibrant ministry and I have poured my all into this church. But if you did not pray for me, follow me, and support me, I would have been walking this journey alone. So, House of Hope Macon, thank you. Thank you for loving Lady Bri and me with an indescribable love. It is that love that lures us and compels us to sacrifice and serve so that God can be glorified in all we do and give. As I hasten to conclude this letter, there are some people I need to thank because without them this church would not be the spirit-filled, loving place that it has grown to become. A special thank you to the men and women who help set up the Macon Conference Center on Sunday mornings. You all are the real MVPs! A special thank to our Pastor s Cabinet: Min. Cassandra Jones, Rev. Frazlier Pope, Min. Rovianne Momoh, Bro. Marshall Hughes, Bro. Eugene Lavender, and Bro. Keith King. Without these persons, I would not have the clear head to hear from God and our church would not run with efficiency. Thank you all. Each week, our leaders meet for a leadership meeting to make sure every aspect of worship and ministry is being covered and a special thank you is extended to: Bro. Corey Smith, Rev. Bryant Collier, Sis. Kim Glover, Bro. Andre Cabiness, Bro. Benton Aladin, Ms. Jackie McCoy, and Bro. Craig Wright. Every week, God uses you to dream and imagine which is the primary work of faith. Finally to my bride, Mrs. Brianna Jenee Sullivan Sharpe. You are my angel. When the church becomes too much and the strain of ministry has taken out of me all that can be taken, your love and hugs are my sanctuary. I find peace and restoration in God when I m with you. Thank you for being my prayer partner, my cheerleader, and my Facebook live recorder. Lady Bri, you re more than a lady, you re my Queen. Happy Early Anniversary (December 19, 2017). God be praised. Church family, as we march with great anticipation into 2018, let us march together and in unity. 2018 is the Year of FOCUS. Walk together, don t get weary. Not dismayed by anything, Reginald Wayne Sharpe Jr. Campus Pastor
During her day of celebration, Lady Bri partnered with the church and hosted a packing party to create care packages for the following community outreach groups in Macon: Hephzibah Children s Home, Rebuilding Macon, and Rescue Mission. Due to the natural disasters that we experienced this year, our members answered the call with generosity by donating items to give to the affected families of our city and neighboring states. We created Boxes of Hope that reached 4 organizations and 3 states! Our Campus Pastor, ministers, mothers, and church members collaborated to deliver over 50 new coats to the children of Burdell-Hunt Elementary School!
In 2017, we were blessed to stand with the families within our church to dedicate our babies back to the Lord. This year we increased our relationships within the church by welcoming in over 60 new members. Our new family members decided to connect with our vision and we celebrated their step to GROWTH! As a church family, we witnessed the public acknowledgement of our members as they professed their relationship with Christ through baptism. Our relationships were enhanced as we traveled to worship with our brother and sister churches in the city and neighboring states.
Over 90 members of our church flooded the hallways of Laura Bay Rehabilitation Center with songs of HOPE and a message, from Pastor Sharpe to the residents, that they can Soar Like Eagles! The House of Hope Macon visited the Ronald McDonald House to feed and pray with dozens of family members of children who are courageously fighting for their lives. The Children s Ministry coordinated our community Fall Festival. Over 200 children dressed up in costumes and enjoyed candy, food, music and more! Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Scott won the Best Trunk Award!
Mother Vivian Sullivan delivered a powerful message Mother s Day morning encouraging us to have Joy In The Meantime. The House of Hope Macon traveled to Atlanta to remember the 7 last sayings of Christ. Three of our very own ministers Morgan Blakely, Rovianne Momoh and Frazlier Pope stood to proclaim HOPE from the cross. We welcomed Pastor Lorenzo Lynch and the Ebenezer Baptist Church from Charlotte, North Carolina, during our morning worship service. Dr. Lynch preached our souls happy and healthy with the sermon entitled A New Order of Worship. There are no words to describe how much our church was blessed by our September to Remember Revival preached by four amazing pastors within our city. Pastor Tolan Morgan kicked off the revival by telling us that Strange Things Are Happening, Pastor Little revealed truth through The Exodus Experience, Pastor Carlos Kelly encouraged us to Fight God s Way, and Pastor Stanley concluded our revival and reminded us that there is A Cry for Help in our world.
The House of Hope Macon wore pink to support and celebrate breast cancer survivors, both past and present. Pastor Sharpe taught us the importance of rest through the iconic sermon Reclaiming My Time. This sermon prepared us for the church s Month of Sabbath during August. Pastor Sharpe and Lady Bri shared the stage with Dr. Rikesha L. Frye Brown as they unpacked the importance of mental health as an individual and within our families. The hearts of the victims and their families were encouraged during our domestic violence Sunday. Our facility was adorned in purple to bring awareness to domestic violence as we let the world know they can t take our voice!
