40 Days for Life The 40 Days for Life goes from Ash Wednesday through Palm Sunday. Come join fellow parishioners and parishes throughout the Diocese to pray the rosary in front of the abortion clinic on Wason Avenue (off North Main Street) in Springfield. Or, if you prefer, join the Blue Army group after the 8:15a.m. Mass on Saturdays to pray the rosary for an end to abortion. Are you familiar with the Holy Name Prayer Line? It is a group of 30 parishioners (called the Prayer Line Partners) who pray for anyone who is in need of prayers for any reason. It could be an illness, loss of a loved one, etc., or a special intention. We invite you to share your prayer needs by calling Ann at the rectory (733-5823). You don t even have to give us your name just who (first name only, or you can say a woman, a man, a parishioner) the group would pray for and a very brief reason (i.e., surgery, illness, special intention, etc.) for the request. We compile a daily list (Monday through Friday) and email it to the partners who have emails, and it is called in to those who do this by phone (first person calls the second, and so on). New partners are always welcome. Please contact Kit Devlin at 782-0075 with your interest. STEWARDSHIP Collections for March 10 & 11, 2018 total $8220.87! Many thanks to all of you!! If you want to help, the donor information is as follows: Checks can be made out to the JFSWM or Jewsih Family Service of Western MA with the word fire written in the memo line. SERVICE LOAVES AND FISHES You can warm someone s heart by helping provide a hot meal this winter. On the first Monday of every month, members of our parish gather at South Congregational Church on Maple Street to serve a meal to the hungry of our city. We are sure you will find it to be a positive and rewarding experience, and it is so organized, it won t take a lot of your time. American Chop Suey is the meal we serve, and you are welcome to use your own recipe. If you can help with the cooking or serving, please call Ann at the rectory, 733-5823, or if you decide to come and don t have time to call ahead, that s fine, too. Meals can either be dropped off between 4:15 and 4:30p.m., or stay and serve and you ll be on your way home in an hour. You ll find plenty of safe, off-street parking right in the church parking lot.
