All Souls Catholic 2 M y C u p of Wa t e r Anyone who gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, Amen, I say to you, will surely not lose his reward. Every 3rd Thursday of the month a group of men from our parish come together to develop a network of parish based monthly Holy Hour with Confessions and Fraternity. This movement was founded in 1571 and is called the HOLY LEAGUE. What they do is to seek to provide opportunities for the faithful to be united in the Prayer, Teachings, and Service to the church. In the spirit of Marian Chivalry, under the Patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St Joseph, All Souls shares a common vision mission with the group and I just realized how blessed we are to have them together with the rest of the ministries. There are many parts in the body of Christ. I hope to introduce them all to you, how they live in the life of Worship and Service to God and His People. To whom do you share your cup of water? Father David Vivero P.S. It takes hundreds of volunteers to make our Annual Community Harvest festival fun! We need YOU! All Souls Parish Office Phone: 407.322.3795 - Fax: 407.322.1131 Parish Office Location: 301 W. 8th Street, Sanford 32771 Parish Cemetery Location: Corner of 25th St. & Hardy Ave., Sanford 32771 Location: 3280 W. 1st Street, (SR#46), Sanford 32771 Historic Location: 800 S. Mark your calendar for, November 17, 2018 Learn God's Plan for the family through the Power of Prayer. And the many graces you will receive through the sacraments for better communication in the family. Live the Liturgy Humility is really a virtue that allows us to keep our relationships in proper order: God first, others second, and myself third. However, we all wrestle with our incompleteness, weakness, and imperfections. Passions and impulses from within can color how we view our lives and distort them. Who among us does not struggle with jealousy, envy, pride, and lust? Then, when we can't have what we desire, we find ourselves angry, greedy, and taking more than we deserve. The downward spiral continues. Even Jesus' disciples, who knew him better than most, argued about who was the greatest. Humbly seeking the wisdom that comes from God and His righteousness is the corrective we need in order to keep ourselves in check. CASTING CALL!!
