Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord! Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore! Psalm 113:1, 2 WELCOME: A sincere welcome to everyone worshipping here today in Spirit and in Truth. May Almighty God grant His power to protect us from evil. May the Everlasting Father strengthen you in this season of Lent for your journey across life s fleeting pages. We extend a special welcome to our GEMS and their leaders on this GEMS Sunday. We invite you to join us after the morning worship service for refreshments and a time of fellowship. Children aged 3-5 meet your teacher, in the foyer during the offering this morning for Children s Church. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES What does it mean to be called a Christian? Some embrace the term, while others try to avoid it and all that comes with it. Acts 11:19-30 tells of when the label was first placed on those in the Antioch church, and it will again remind us more clearly in this morning s message: What It Means to Be Called Christians. This evening, please join the community churches at Calvary Baptist Church, where Pastor Drew give the next message in the Lent series The Lord, Our Shepherd: Comforting Discipline. PRAYERS AND PRAISES Thank you for remembering me with your prayers, cards, phone calls, visits, flowers and food which made my recovery from a broken hip more pleasant! God bless you all! ~Elaine Dyk We send our congratulations to Jesse and Sydney Sybesma, who celebrated their wedding this past Friday in Sioux Falls. Please be in prayer for this new couple as they establish their home together.

OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS Elder s Retreat: This Saturday, our church elders will be gathering for day-long retreat. Please pray for their refreshment and also for wisdom as they discuss how to best lead our church under Jesus. Ladies! It s not too late to register for this weekend s Sisterhood retreat! Then, join us Friday evening 5:30 9:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall to learn about and celebrate our Christian sisterhood together. Saturday s session: 8:30 AM 2:00 PM. Our new secretary, April Van Zee, will start this week. Please continue to send all bulletin and other office related information to the church s email, leave items in the box on the office door, or call and the church at 337-3572. April s regular office hours will be posted at a later time after training is done. We are hosting the joint Easter evening worship service on Sunday, April 1 at 5:30 PM. Pastor John Gorter will be giving the message, and an offering will be taken for Resonate Global Mission. Nursery will be provided and refreshments will be served afterwards.
