I know my heav nly Father knows The storms that would my way oppose; But He can drive the clouds away, And turn my darkness into day. (2 x) 2. I know my heav nly Father knows The balm I need to soothe my woes; And with His touch of love divine He heals this wounded soul of mine. (2 x) Hymn #591- I Know My Heavenly Father 3. I know my heav nly Father knows How frail I am to meet my foes; But He my cause will e er defend, Uphold and keep me to the end. (2 x) 4. I know my heav nly Father knows The hour my journey here will close; And may that hour, O faithful Guide, Find me safe sheltered by Thy side. (2 x) Refrain: He knows, My Father knows, He knows, I m sure He knows The storms that would my way oppose; He knows, My Father knows, He knows, I m sure He knows And tempers every wind that blows. Opening Prayer requesting one of the little ones or mommies or daddies to give prayer Lesson #172: The Touch of Faith Part 3 Isaiah 43:12 (KJV) I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when [there was] no strange [god] among you: therefore ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I [am] God. This Sabbath boys and girls, we will end with Part 3 of our lesson entitle, The Touch of Faith in our study book Desire of Ages! Psalms 91:6 (KJV) [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday. Psalms 116:12 (KJV) What shall I render unto the LORD [for] all his benefits toward me? Psalms 116:13 (KJV) I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. Psalms 116:14 (KJV) I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people. Luke 17:12 (KJV) And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: Luke 17:14 (KJV) And when he saw [them], he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. Luke 17:15 (KJV) And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, Psalms 69:16 (KJV) Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness [is] good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. Children s Sabbath School _ Lesson#172 (3.26.16) Page 1

Let s continue in our book Desire of Ages, Chapter #36, pages 347-348 After healing the woman, Jesus desired her to acknowledge the blessing she had received. The gifts which the gospel offers are not to be secured by stealth or enjoyed in secret. So the Lord calls upon us for confession of His goodness. Ye are My witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God. Isaiah 43:12. {DA 347.2} Question: What did Jesus desire the woman to do after her healing? And, are the gifts which the gospel offers to be secured by stealth or enjoyed in secret? Answer: To acknowledge the blessing she had received. And, No! The Lord calls upon us for confession of His goodness. Song: Let s learn a beautiful scripture song together dear ones, from the book of James! James 1:17-20 (KJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (2 xs) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Our confession of His faithfulness is Heaven's chosen agency for revealing Christ to the world. We are to acknowledge His grace as made known through the holy men of old; but that which will be most effectual is the testimony of our own experience. We are witnesses for God as we reveal in ourselves the working of a power that is divine. Question: What is Heaven s chosen agency for revealing Christ to the world? Answer: Our confession of His faithfulness. We are witnesses for God as we reveal in ourselves the working of a power that is divine. Song: Let s learn a beautiful hymn of thanksgiving dear ones how, Great is His faithfulness! (https://www.hymnal.net/en/hymn/h/19 Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be. Great is Thy Faithfulness Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above, Join with all nature in manifold witness To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me! Children s Sabbath School _ Lesson#172 (3.26.16) Page 2

Continuing: Every individual has a life distinct from all others, and an experience differing essentially from theirs. God desires that our praise shall ascend to Him, marked by our own individuality. These precious acknowledgments to the praise of the glory of His grace, when supported by a Christ-like life, have an irresistible power that works for the salvation of souls. {DA 347.3} Question: How does God desires that our praise shall ascend to Him? Answer: Marked by our own individuality for every individual has a life distinct from all others, and an experience differing essentially from theirs. When the ten lepers came to Jesus for healing, He bade them go and show themselves to the priest. On the way they were cleansed, but only one of them returned to give Him glory. The others went their way, forgetting Him who had made them whole. How many are still doing the same thing! The Lord works continually to benefit mankind. Continuing: He is ever imparting His bounties. He raises up the sick from beds of languishing, He delivers men from peril which they do not see, He commissions heavenly angels to save them from calamity, to guard them from "the pestilence that walketh in darkness" and "the destruction that wasteth at noonday" (Psalm 91:6); but their hearts are unimpressed. Question: How does The Lord continually word to benefit mankind? Answer: He is ever imparting His bounties; as their Healer, Deliver and Redeemer of life. Song: Let s learn yet another beautiful scripture song dear one, from the book of Psalms! Psalms 91(KJV) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: (Go to verses 14-16) his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day; [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. (Go to verses 14-16) Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble; (2 xs) I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation. Psalms 91 Children s Sabbath School _ Lesson#172 (3.26.16) Page 3

Continuing: He has given all the riches of heaven to redeem them, and yet they are unmindful of His great love. By their ingratitude they close their hearts against the grace of God. Like the heath in the desert they know not when good cometh, and their souls inhabit the parched places of the wilderness. {DA 348.1} Question: What has our Saviour given to redeem them? And, what are they yet not unmindful of? Answer: He has given all the riches of heaven. And, His great love. By their ingratitude they close their hearts against the grace of God. It is for our own benefit to keep every gift of God fresh in our memory. Thus faith is strengthened to claim and to receive more and more. There is greater encouragement for us in the least blessing we ourselves receive from God than in all the accounts we can read of the faith and experience of others. The soul that responds to the grace of God shall be like a watered garden. Continuing: His health shall spring forth speedily; his light shall rise in obscurity, and the glory of the Lord shall be seen upon him. Let us then remember the loving-kindness of the Lord, and the multitude of His tender mercies. Like the people of Israel, let us set up our stones of witness, and inscribe upon them the precious story of what God has wrought for us. Question: Why is it for our own benefit that we keep every gift of God fresh in our memory? And, what shall the soul that responds to the grace of God be likened to? Answer: Thus faith is strengthened to claim and to receive more and more. And, a watered garden his health shall spring forth speedily; his light shall rise in obscurity, and the glory of the Lord shall be seen upon him. Continuing: And as we review His dealings with us in our pilgrimage, let us, out of hearts melted with gratitude, declare, What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all His people. Psalm 116:12-14. {DA 348.2} Question: What shall declare as we review His dealings with us in our pilgrimage, out of hearts melted with gratitude? Answer: What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all His people. Song: Let s learn our last scripture song dear ones from the book of Psalms! Psalms50:14-15 (KJV) Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Gather the little ones together! It s Story Time! Our book selection this Sabbath is entitle, Sons and Daughters of God Chapter 3-Patience For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Hebrews 10:36. {SD 88.1} The lives of some are without peace or gladness because they never get out of the range of self. They are ever reaching out for sympathy from others. If they would go to work to see how helpful they could be, and would speak words of love and courage, their souls, now dry and sorrowful, would become like a watered garden. {SD 88.2} You must learn in the school of Christ precious lessons of patience. Do not become discouraged, but keep at the work in all humility. It will drive you to Jesus; it will lead you to study the Pattern. You want to work as Jesus worked. {SD 88.3} Trials will come, it is true, even to those who are fully consecrated. The patience of the most patient will be severely tested.... Often silence is the severest rebuke that could be given to the one who has sinned with his lips. {SD 88.4} When they [the children and youth] lose self-control and speak words that are passionate, an attitude of silence is often the best course to pursue, not taking up a line of reproof or argument or condemnation. Repentance will come very soon. The silence that is golden will often do more than all the words that can be uttered. {SD 88.5} When others are impatient, fretful, and complaining because self is not subdued, begin to sing some of the songs of Zion. While Christ was working at the carpenter's bench, others would sometimes surround Him, trying to cause Him to be impatient; but He would begin singing some of the beautiful psalms, and before they realized what they were doing, they had joined with Him in singing, influenced, as it were, by the power of the Holy Spirit which was there. {SD 88.6} Christ's perfect example and the grace of God are given him [man] to enable him to train his sons and daughters to be sons and daughters of God. {SD 88.7} Next Week: We will begin a new chapter of our lesson entitle, The First Evangelists of our book Desire of Ages Closing Prayer request one of the little ones or mommies or daddies to give prayer.
