WTI Oil $52.85-0.10 WCS Oil $29.25-0.70 Torc Oil and Gas (TOG) $4.87-0.34 Dow Jones Industrial 25,027.07-799.36 (is that ugly or what?) Torc Oil & Gas There weren't too many people a few months ago that expected the price of oil to crash as quickly and to such depths as it has...but one who did say so was Ross Clark. He predicted we would see $50.00 if not a bit underneath it. So while Alberta is falling apart, jobs are being lost and unemployment rates ever higher (while we still support Eastern Canada it seems) for those of us hoping against hope for renewed interest in the price of oil, we go back to Ross Clark to find out his current thoughts. He suggested that we kind of hit his targets, but he now expects a couple of weeks of bouncing back - maybe seeing $55.00-ish as a price and then testing the new lows. In other words, we probably have six-ish to eight-ish weeks left to pick up the oil stocks for those of us who have faith in the industry. And we do, despite a fractured business in the province and the idiots in Ottawa. As far as when we start going up, Clark is not thinking that we are going to have one of those shooting star price increases for oil, just a gradual and eversteady move upwards over the next couple of years. Oh my goodness, we certainly hope he's right. Meanwhile, the chart on one of our favourites - Torc Oil and Gas, looks like it has been putting in a base...or is that just us getting overly hopeful? dave.pescod@plant4seeds.com debbie.lewis@plant4seeds.com 1
Gold $1243.50 +3.90 Sandstorm Gold (SSL) $5.62-0.02 So are you having any fun in the markets these days? Well we know you Gold aren't. It's been absolutely brutal. You have been slaughtered in your mining shares, many of which are at half of where they used to be, you've been c l o b b e r e d i n y o u r o i l a n d g a s shares...once again, many are having a two for one sale, and even your blue chip/dull/boring bank stocks are causing you grief. Meanwhile, those high tech stocks in the States (the FAANG stocks) that got all the press? Many of them have also suffered the same fate...facebook is down an incredible 40%...who would have thought? And then there's the Sandstorm Gold marijuana stocks of course...well they are all down and ugly too over the last few months, but maybe if you had a few joints, it might ease some of the pain from a stock market in Canada that has cost you big time and a market in the United States that has taken away any rewards it might have had. S o w h e r e do you go and hide? We find it interesting that all of a sudden, gold - that old precious metal that everyone has been ignoring for a while, might be on the verge of a breakout. Notice the charts with a basing over the last couple of months. And the question is, is it on the verge of breaking out? The chart on gold is the February contract for 2019 and as far as Sandstorm, a gold stock that several of the old farts that still like gold are suggesting, as recently had some analysts coverage as TD Securities recently lowered their target to $7.50 from $8.50, while Canaccord lowered their target to $9.00 (now that would be tasty) and National Bank has upped their target to $8.50 from $8.25 and called it an outperform. Any one of those numbers would look a whole lot better than some of the other sectors we mentioned. THE RESULTS ARE IN: If given a chance, would you vote to separate? Thanks so much folks for some of the comments we have received on yesterday's issue. And really we have to share some of the comments...because they came from across the country! How about this comment from R.H. in Montreal: "Hi Debbie: We have voted against separation (Quebec from Canada) for years so when I vote against separation, you must understand where I m coming from. It is healthy that you Albertans are talking this way..maybe it will wake up Mr. Dress Up!! because I m not sure he gets it!...it was always rumoured that his father wanted to make Canada a Third World Nation so he could become the Secretary General of the UN.well guess what, we are coming close but I don t think Mr. Dress Up would come close to making the grade!! He sure can t run the country!! We in the East appreciate all you have done for us (Equalization payments) and we understand your angst, but hope you don t pull out. In any case we love your daily reports and jokes, keep them coming.we ll get rid of Trudeau next election!! Cheers. From R.C. in Vancouver: "If Justin Trudeau was serious about helping oppressed women, he wouldn't allow Canada to import $300 million of Saudi oil every month. Instead he chooses to demonize Canada s male construction workers". From A.B. Who sends us a copy of the Toronto Sun editorial which takes a look at Trudeau smearing construction workers. Once again, see the video on the last page of this issue. It has to be seen to be believed! dave.pescod@plant4seeds.com debbie.lewis@plant4seeds.com 3
From R.T. "Thanks for some real facts about confederation, It would be best that Mr. Trump take junior under his wing and show him how to run a country without political BS. We have catered to PQ and the natives long enough. In every election that I recall it was over by the time vote hit the Manitoba border and all we can do is swallow hard and try to be good citizens. I came to Alberta in 1950 and have been blessed with many good governments with the exception of the BIG mistake which will be corrected in April. GO Kenney!" A brief note from C.R. "I'm from Ontario but would strongly support my western brothers and sisters...this is total bullshit..." YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT THE VILLAGE IDIOT JUST SAID IN ARGENTINA...REALLY...YOU JUST HAVE TO PLAY THIS TO BELIEVE IT. dave.pescod@plant4seeds.com debbie.lewis@plant4seeds.com 4
Trudeau in Argentina says there are social impacts of bringing male construction workers to rural areas: Click here to play: https://twitter.com/canadabuster/status/ 1068213670834917376 The internet is coming alive with jokes about Justin Trudeau and his attempts to bankrupt the country, push feminism, and destroy the oil patch - many of them are hilarious. If you've got a couple to send us, please do so, as somehow we are going to have to start a gallery of the worst of Trudeau! Deb s Ditty: So I was at the bar last night and the waitress screamed Anyone know CPR? I said, Hell, I know the entire alphabet. Everyone laughed Well, everyone except this one guy. dave.pescod@plant4seeds.com debbie.lewis@plant4seeds.com 5
