Lesley Page is a Private Pilot and Motivational speaker. Her first flight was in a small airplane when she was 50. It was love at first flight! Never one to be content to just go along for the ride in life, she obtained her Private Pilot license in the spring of 2007. When she s not using her airplane for trips, her passion is sharing her love of flying with others. She has received several awards for introducing women and young people to aviation by taking them for free flights in her airplane. Lesley is an experienced public speaker and engaging story-teller. She enjoys inspiring people to overcome their fears and obstacles and to achieve their dreams. Lesley Page Brilliant Minded Women 2017 Volunteer of the Year Lesley s most popular presentation is entitled Life is Too Short to be a Passenger. It is the motivational story of her journey from burned-out corporate executive to awardwinning private pilot. She describes how she conquered her fears, overcame obstacles and achieved her dream. Although the stories and examples used are related to her flight training, the presentation has relevance beyond aviation, as the strategies that she covers can be applied to many aspects of life, and are particularly useful when facing large life changes. It is also entertaining, as she employs humour and lots of photos throughout. Audiences will be inspired to take charge in their lives and have the courage to soar to new heights. 2
