It s hard to believe that our 24th Crafte Faire is over--and what a day it was! We saw a slow and steady stream of visitors all day long. This was also our 2nd year on the trail. For those who do not know, last year we teamed up with two other churches in Goshen who have their fair on the same day (Goshen Presbyterian and St. James). We encourage fair goers to visit all three fairs and they can be entered for a prize. Each church sponsored a $75 gift card tree. Once again the trail was a big success for all three churches. Overall we had 115 individuals complete the trail. As a matter of fact, the winner of our Gift Card tree came all the way from Ringwood New Jersey! It goes without saying that this past Saturday could not have happened without all of the help and support of our parishioners. There are so many individuals to thank but I fear if I call you all out, I will no doubt forget someone. So I say thank you to everyone who baked, made baskets, helped Crafte Faire Wrap-up sell tickets, manned Grandma s attic, or a table (bake sale, trail tables, raffle, crafts, and baskets) placed road signs, hung flyers, fried fish, washed, cut or fried potatoes, made the delicious coleslaw, served and seated the hungry lunch crowd, made sandwiches for tea, made and served tea, created flyers and wrote press releases, packed up boxes and put away tables, walked around dressed like St. Nicholas, printed tickets and flyers, and so much more! Oh and don t forget those who proofread my articles! As you can see, a lot goes into this day and, without all of the above, we would not have made $5,200! Every year I am amazed that we pull this day off effortlessly, but in reality, with all of this help and support, how can we fail! Thank you again for all that you do to help support the fundraising committee. ~Eileen Barrett Faire photos by Joe Barrett
