MEETING: 15 MARCH 2015 The meeting was called to order at 3:30 P.M. by Faithful Navigator (FN) Bob Testa. The opening ceremony was conducted. The opening ode was not sung instead the Assembly recited the Pledge of Allegiance. A prayer was offered by Faithful Friar Father Jack Kelly. The role of officers was called and noted as follows: Officers Fraternal Year 2014/2015: Faithful Navigator: Bob Testa P Faithful Scribe: Chris Cooper P Faithful Comptroller: Rod Komlofske P Inner Sentinel: Neil Vince P Faithful Friar: Father Jack Kelly P Outer Sentinel: David Rosero P Faithful Captain: Dwayne Orosz A Faithful Trustee: Jose Santos A Faithful Admiral: Paul Tomacelli P Faithful Trustee: John Handley A Faithful Purser: Jeff Michaud P Faithful Trustee: Steve Canali A Faithful Pilot: Vacant A Honor Guard Commander: TBD A The Faithful Friar report: Father Jack Kelly reminded everyone the Feasts of St. Patrick and St Joseph are this week. The Holy Father stresses the importance of the Family and the Synod of the Family. The next synod will be the Synod of Mercy. Father Jack also briefed the K of C raised 400,000 to help the Catholic and Orthodox Christians in Ukraine. The minutes of the preceding meeting were not read in lieu of them being sent out to the membership via email and posted on the Assembly Website. Past Faithful Navigator (PFN) Paul Tomacelli moved to accept the minutes for the preceding meeting. Sir Knight (SK) David Sherrard made a second on the motion. APPROVED. The following bills were read and referred: None. The following communications were read: FN Bob Testa presented a Thank You Letter from the Care Clinic for the Assembly s 100.00 donation. (See attachment 1) FN Bob Testa presented a Thank You Letter from MiraVia, formerly known as Room at the Inn, for the Assembly s 100.00 donation. (See Attachment 2) The Faithful Comptroller Report: Faithful Comptroller Rod Komlofske briefed (See Attachment 3) for the entire report): Membership: 101 Beginning Income: 2,756.38 Committed Funds: 352.30 Funds Available: 3,181.71 SK Neil Vince moved to accept the Faithful Comptroller Report. PFN Paul Tomacelli made a second on the motion. APPROVED. The Faithful Purser Jeff Michaud reported (See Attachment 4 for entire report): Total Deposits: 1,315.00; Disbursements: 100.00; Balance: 4,386.71. Applications for membership presented to the admission committee: Faithful Comptroller Rod Komlofske briefed there are two membership applications: Daniel Thetford and Michael J. Apicella. SK Neil Vince moved to accept the two membership applications. PFN Paul Tomacelli made a second on the motion. APPROVED. Faithful Comptroller Rod Komlofske briefed one member transferred to another Assembly. FN Bob Testa read the names of the newest Sir Knights of our Assembly: Blaze Podgorske, Henry Winbush, Ryan Murray, Timothy Fitzpatrick, Quinton Scales, Rev. John J. Kelly, and Tom Piner. Unfinished business was taken up and disposed of as follows: FN Bob Testa is requesting a volunteer to become the new Honor Guard Commander. (OPEN) There are two Honor Guard request for Special Olympics on 24 April 2015: 1. To present the Colors and 2. To retire the Colors. More details are available on the Assembly Website: http://cardinalgibbonsassembly783.weebly.com/honor-guard.html FN Bob Testa thanked all the Sir Knights who participated in the 4 th Degree Exemplification, 28 February 2015, hosted by our Assembly. The Trustees reported as follows: NSTR. The following new business was presented: Faithful Comptroller Rod Komlofske briefed he put together four sets of Honor Guard Regalia kits. They are available for members of the Assembly to check out for Honor Guard Events. Faithful Comptroller Rod Komlofske made a motion to be reimbursed 18.00 for miscellaneous items for the Regalia kits. SK David Rosero made a second on the motion. APPROVED. FN Bob Testa briefed several Assemblies give their PFN the PFN Sword. The PFN Sword has the Assembly name on one side of the blade and the PFN s name on the other side. Faithful Comptroller Rod Komlofske suggested setting up a committee page on the Assembly website to give the membership to voice their opinion about the Assembly paying for the PFN Sword. Faithful Scribe Chris Cooper will set up this page on the Assembly Website. FN Bob Testa handed out the latest calendar of events for the Assembly. (See Attachment 5). FN Bob Testa briefed the Honor Guard will participate in the Fayetteville Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony 2015. The Trustees will be contacting the membership to solicit candidates to fill the Assembly Offices. FN Bob Testa briefed the Assembly Meeting will be held on 19 April 2015 @ 3:30 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Fayetteville, NC. Council Briefings: None Under Good of the Order: Worldwide Catholic Family especially in the Middle East The closing ceremony was conducted by FN Bob Testa.
