Song of Praise The Lord s My Shepherd The Lord s my shepherd, I ll not want; He makes me lie in pastures green. He leads me by the still, still waters, His goodness restores my soul. Chorus: And I will trust in You alone, And I will trust in You alone, For Your endless mercy follows me, Your goodness will lead me home. He guides my ways in righteousness, And He anoints my head with oil, And my cup, it overflows with joy, I feast on His pure delights. And though I walk the darkest path, I will not fear the evil one, For You are with me, and Your rod and staff Are the comfort I need to know. Sending Song Before The Throne of God Above Before the throne of God above, I have a strong, a perfect plea, A great High Priest whose name is Love, Who ever lives and pleads for me. My name is graven on His hands, My name is written on His heart; I know that while in heav n He stands, No tongue can bid me thence depart, No tongue can bid me thence depart. When Satan tempts me to despair, And tells me of the guilt within, Upward I look and see Him there, Who made an end to all my sin. Because the sinless Savior died My sinful soul is counted free; For God the Just is satisfied To look on Him and pardon me, To look on Him and pardon me. Behold Him there! The Risen Lamb, My perfect spotless Righteousness, The great unchangeable I Am, The King of glory and of grace! One with Himself I cannot die. My soul is purchased by His blood, My life is hid with Christ on high, With Christ, my Savior and my God, With Christ, my Savior and my God! Reflection & Preparation Reflection: Daniel 10:1-11:1 This Week: Prayer: Quote - Faith as that first moment of trust in Christ that brings us into eternal fellowship with God. But faith doesn t stop after that first moment. It persists throughout the Christian Life and is important in our day-to-day relationship with God. Paul says that faith, hope, and love abide ; they remain throughout life (1 Cor. 13:13) So the Lord calls all believers to walk by faith. As Paul says, the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Gal. 2:20). (John Frame, Systematic Theology: An Introduction to the Christian Faith, pg. 955) Isaiah 6:1-7 I saw the Lord Matthew 28:1-10 Do not be afraid Acts 10:30-33 To hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 Stand firm in the faith O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people: Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. The Pray for Me Campaign: This week we are praying using Scripture for our youth. As you use the prayer guide and your own Scripture study, ask that the blessings of God s truth would be written on the hearts of our students and families. 14
