DIVINE LITURGY SCHEDULE SUNDAY Saturday 5:00 pm Sunday 11:00 am HOLY DAYS WEEKDAYS 8:00 am Monday - Friday Saturday

Dear Beloved Parishioners and Guests, What is wonderful to see is that often on Sunday we have special guests who come to pray with us and we are most pleased to celebrate with them. Always welcome... and I do hope that you make them feel welcome. Many parishioners don't know each other! Why not introduce yourself to someone each Sunday and thank them for belonging to St. Mary's...Don't be a stranger to one another!!! This week I received an email from Australia and my FROM THE PASTOR S DESK down-under friend could not resist sharing the following piece of prose. I, in turn, wish to share it with you for your enjoyment and edification... So read on and reflect: LAYMAN'S TEN COMMANDMENTS 1] Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout. 2] Why is a Car's WINDSHIELD so large and the Rear View Mirror is so small? because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. So, Look Ahead... 3] Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write. 4] All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either. 5] Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold! 6] Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end! 7] When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities. 8] A blind person asked Saint Anthony: "Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?" He replied: "Yes, losing your vision!" 9] When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you. 10] WORRYING does not take away tomorrow's TROUBLES,it takes away today's PEACE! Do you realize that we are in the Advent season in preparation for the Birth of Jesus? In our Catholic Church, we call it Pylypivka because the feast of St. Philip the Apostle always marks the commencement of our focus on Christmas. Could we try to make life more special, more pleasant, more loved and more peaceful for those around us? Giving yourself generously is so much better than buying gifts and presents! Let us not get wrapped up in commercialism, and forget the Reason for the Season is the Birth of Christ, Our Lord and Saviour! Let us love more!
