iv Our Lord s Return Matthew 24:3 (KJV), And as he [Jesus] sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Jesus said when these things begin to come to pass, Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled Matthew 24:34 (KJV). THE WAR OF GOG AND MAGOG As the war clouds gather for Israel and the Arab and Muslim nations join forces with Russia [Magog], Iran, and their allies, it seems very clear that the Ezekiel 38 & 39 war is about to take place. That Gog, the Chief Prince, will unite all these nations, and God will put it in their hearts to come down and attack Israel. All of these nations will be no match for the nation of Israel, because God will fight for her. The Gentiles dispensation began with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and has continued almost 2,000 years; it will end with the rapture of the church. Although the Gentile dispensation will end with the rapture of the church, there will still be millions of Jews and Gentiles saved during the tribulation period and the millennial thousand years of peace. 1 CHAPTER 1 THE TRIBULATION PERIOD BEGINS REVELATION CHAPTER 7 INFORMATIONAL CHAPTER This chapter interrupts the story and the events taking place on the earth, to inform us of God s activities. Contrary to what some people think, God does not turn the seven years over to Satan and the Antichrist. During this time, God performs in all His greatness. At the start of the tribulation, the church is caught up to heaven and God in his mercy creates a powerful vehicle to replace it. The 144,000 Jewish evangelists, introduced in Revelation chapter 7, begin their ministry. Taking over the assignment of the Church, the 144,000 preach the gospel. A seal of God provides them with divine immunity, causing their ministry to be so effective that a great multitude of people are converted to Jesus. When God translates [raptures] these converts into His presence, He spares them from the wrath of the Antichrist at or near mid-tribulation.

THE 144,000 JEWISH EVANGELISTS Revelation 7:1 3 (KJV) 1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither hurt the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. Reflecting Godly order, the angel of verse two verbally restrains the four angels of Revelation chapter 8 from releasing plagues upon the earth and the stars until after the 144,000 young Jewish evangelists are sealed with the seal of God. The 144,000 are identified as servants of God and are Ones who serve God by carrying out a divine assignment. Obedience is a characteristic of a servant of God. Disobedience certainly does not serve God or man. The effective ministry of the 144,000 is evidence that they preached the gospel. All believers including the 144,000 are to carry out the instructions of Jesus in Mark 16:15. Since God s Word never changes, it is the same for believers during the tribulation period as today.

According to Romans 11:25 26, all Israel will be saved by using the means described in Romans 10. The 144,000 are to bring all Israel to salvation. In addition, many Gentiles will be saved as well. Zechariah 8:23 (KJV), Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. Revelation 7:4 5 (KJV) 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Revelation 7:6 8 (KJV) 6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Bnjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

Revelation chapter 14 continues the description of the 144,000. 144,000 are redeemed men of the earth. Approximately 4 years after the tribulation begins, the servants of God finish their assignment. Revelation chapter 9 shows us that the 144,000 are still on the earth just passed the mid-tribulation point. After that, they are not mentioned. Jesus meets them on Mount Zion, [part of Jerusalem], and immediately escorts them to God s throne. Learning the new song of the redeemed, they join in the song with the Church Company. They arrive in time to be a part of the marriage supper of the Lamb ceremony. The 144 000 are the first fruits to God and the lamb, verse four. The word first fruits identify these Jewish evangelists as being the first to be saved at the beginning of the tribulation period. Having a tremendous task to perform in a limited amount of time, the 144,000 are unmarried. They must carry the simple gospel message wherever the people of Israel have been dispersed to, so that all Israel may be saved. Family responsibilities would prevent them from giving themselves totally to this assignment. The most difficult part of the tribulation is the second half. During the first half, the man destined to be the Antichrist, tries to sell himself as a man of peace. At mid-tribulation, he becomes extremely frustrated with the people of Israel, who, except for a small remnant, have

given their lives to Jesus. He, the Antichrist, breaks his agreement and turns to destroy them. Some of the converts suffer martyrdom while most escape the threats of the Antichrist when they are taken to heaven.

CHAPTER 2 THE GREAT MULTITUDE Revelation chapter 7 describes the mid-tribulation rapture or catching up of the great multitude, the converts of the 144,000 young Jewish evangelists. Revelation 7:9 17 (KJV) 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they?

14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Before the throne of God, John sees a great multitude, composed of people from all nations. Basically, they are a Jewish people among a multitude of converted Gentiles. They hold palm leaves, speak of the salvation of their God and the lamb, and come out of the great tribulation. Having known much suffering upon the earth. They worship the Lord both day and night in his temple and are able to clean their white robes, previously blemished, only by washing them by the blood of the Lamb. Someone had to explain this cleansing and lead them in worship of the Lamb. Matthew 25:1 13, contains the parable of the 10 wise and foolish virgins. All the virgins have the same opportunity, all arose when the cry was made, behold the bridegroom is coming. But the lamps of the foolish

started going out because they have not brought sufficient oil. The difference between the wise and the foolish virgins is that the foolish ones had not kept themselves ready for the event, which they knew was coming. While they were gone to prepare themselves, the Bride Groom came. The wise ones went with him into the marriage chamber, the door was shut. The great company of the mid-tribulation rapture described in Revelation chapter 7 differs considerably from the Church Company. Jesus meets the Church in the air. At the rapture of the great multitude, the dead are not resurrected. Once the multitude arrives in heaven, God hides away the remnant of unsaved Israel to prevent its destruction by the Antichrist. The foolish virgins will be part of the great multitude, which have made the mid-tribulation rapture and are before the throne of God. Backsliders and lukewarm Christians will not be ready for Jesus appearing; therefore they will miss the catching up or Rapture of the church. Today the Holy Spirit is working so mightily, thousands of Gentile backsliders are daily returning to God. The believers who miss the Rapture can be caught up with the great multitude at mid-tribulation providing they have accepted the ministry of the 144,000 young Jewish evangelists and have made themselves ready.

The members of the church have crowns of gold, sit upon thrones, and sing the new song. None of this applies to the great multitude. The members of the church declare themselves to be kings and priests reigning with the Lord, whereas those of the great multitude identify themselves as both Jews and Gentiles. Revelation chapter 7 gives great hope to those who are not ready and miss the rapture of the church. It also gives great insight into God s plan for the Jews during the first half of the tribulation. God continues to keep His word for both the natural seed of Abraham and the Gentile believers. Think of it this way; the raptured church company is in Heaven around the Throne! Revelation 7:9 (ASV), and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindred, and people, and tongues, stood before the Throne, and before the Lamb Revelation 7:1 tells us that all the angels were standing around the Throne! What a revival must be going on as they prepare for the marriage supper of the Lamb! Praise God! Praise God! Praise God!

CHAPTER 3 MID-TRIBULATION EVENTS GOD S MASTER PERFORMANCE IS UNDER WAY. REVELATION CHAPTER 8 We begin our study of chapter 8 with mid-tribulation events taking place here on the earth. With the events occurring in Heaven and on the earth during the first half of the tribulation period, God s master performances is under way. He has put on quite a show. The 144,000 young Jewish evangelists are on a worldwide soul-winning crusade. All Israel and hundreds of millions of Gentiles are being saved! The Antichrist has been busy preparing to make his move toward world conquest by mid-tribulation time. Satan has chosen a talented, resourceful, and capable person. Although he began with great plans and seemingly everything he needed to accomplish this task, the Antichrist had a difficult task of putting everything together. Beginning with the support of 10 nations, he has had only 42 months to combine their governments

and their commercial, military, and religious departments. At mid-tribulation, the Antichrist is already badly beaten. The expansion of the satanic empire is becoming difficult. Internal problems are critical. Three of the original nations, or horns, have revolted. According to Daniel chapter 7, the Antichrist will uproot and replace them with three other nations. We know his efforts are successful because 10 national armies are following him at the Battle of Armageddon. Satan is furious and the Antichrist frustrated. Ten major events occur, or begin, at mid-tribulation and cover only a few days. 1. The Antichrist breaks his agreement with Israel Daniel 9:27. 2. The tribulation saints are raptured [caught up] to heaven Revelation 7:9 17. 3. An earthquake occurs Revelation 8:5. 4. Through the Antichrist, Satan makes war against Israel. The remnant of Israel is hidden away Daniel 9, & Revelation 12:13 17. 5. The Antichrist destroys the false religious system Revelation 17:16 18.

6. The Antichrist holds a press conference from Jerusalem declaring that he is God 2 Thessalonians 2:4. 7. The false prophet introduces the mark of the beast Revelation 13:16 18. 8. The two witnesses begin their ministry Revelation 11. 9. The Angels begin their ministry to all nations Revelation 14. 10. The plagues begin to be poured out Revelation 8 9. The Antichrist breaks the agreement he made with Israel at the beginning of the tribulation period, and makes war against her, intending to destroy both the converted Jews and the other saints. From this point, activities build towards a mighty battle, which takes place on the final day of the tribulation period. The converts of the144,000 escape the wrath of Satan and the Antichrist when He [God] briefly delays the invasion with an earthquake. At this time, God simply snatches the new converts from the Antichrist s path and places them before the Throne. At the same time, the yet unsaved remnants of Israel are whisked into hiding for the next three and one half years.

The Antichrist armies invade Israel and take over Jerusalem, where the Antichrist establishes his headquarters. A worldwide press conference released by satellite, the Antichrist is seen and heard by all. He introduces the false prophet, who ushers in the mark of the beast and idolatry through the worship of the beast s image. Then the Antichrist makes his historic statement: I am God 2 Thessalonians 2:4. The two witnesses [the prophets of God introduced in Revelation 11] who are among the observers in Jerusalem immediately challenge the Antichrist. They use supernatural fire to consume the security man who has surged towards them. By television, the world has seen that the Antichrist has no power over the two prophets of God. Angels have begun vocally warning all nations not to receive the mark of the beast nor worship his image. They also preach the everlasting gospel. The new God [the Antichrist] has no power over the Angels. The four angels of Revelation 8 sound their trumpets, releasing the plagues of God s wrath. The news media reports the effects of these plagues on the earth, sun, moon, and stars. The Antichrist cannot control nature. The world wonders what kind of a god this fellow is. He cannot overcome two men, nor control the Angels or

nature. These developments further hinder the Antichrist s attempts to carry out his assignment.

CHAPTER 4 THE EARTH S STORY CONTINUES Revelation chapter 8 begins with the scene unfolding in Heaven in preparation for the continuation of the earthly events. The seventh seal is opened. Revelation 8:1 5 (KJV) 1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. 5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightenings, and an earthquake.

When this seventh seal was opened, there was silence in Heaven for about one-half hour: The one-half hour space of silence is something we do not know for certain about. The awesomeness of the terrible things about to happen in the last half of the tribulation period could be the reason for this silence. However, any attempt to explain about it would be speculation. Again, we will have to wait and see what this unknown means. The angels are given trumpets; the first four angels sounded their trumpets releasing the plagues. Revelation 8:6 13 (KJV) 6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. 7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. 8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. 10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. 13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of Heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabitance of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! The plagues are controlled by the two witnesses, who used them against the Antichrist throughout the last half of the tribulation period as they deem necessary. With the sounding of the first trumpet comes fire and hail mingled with blood. This kind of rainfalls in many places during the last half of the tribulation period: destroying green grass and a third of all the trees. Many homes and commercial buildings will also be destroyed by reason of this plague. When the second trumpet sounds, a third of the ocean becomes blood in the Europe Mediterranean area. Ships sink, stink, and all aboard parish: by the end of the two witness s ministry, even people living inland will be affected as waters are turned into blood. When the third trumpet sounds, a great star falls poisoning one third of the resources of domestic water. Those people who drink from these waters die. This could destroy entire cities.

When the fourth trumpet sounds, a third of the moon, sun and the stars are immediately darkened. They give no light for one third of the day and night. During the tribulation period, the major form of religion will be witchcraft, which involves astrology. The already alarming increase in today s use of witchcraft is only a forerunner of what will come. The sudden plague upon the heavenly bodies will place the astrologers in a state of confusion and drastically affect these people who look to astrology for guidance, placing them in an even worse state of confusion. Revelation chapter 8 verse 13 warns that there are three more woes yet to come, each worse than any of the plagues released by the sounding of the first four trumpets. I believe that the one-half hour of silence, may be to cause people to stop and consider the terrible things that are coming up on them and to repent. Even at this time, it is still not God s will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance! CONSIDER THIS The 144,000 young Jewish evangelists are still on a worldwide soul-winning crusade, for about another year! The Angels are still ministering throughout the world! God s two witnesses have just begun their ministry!

God s mercy, love, and kindness goes on and on and on. He never gives up on sinful man, but continues to reach out in great mercy!

CHAPTER 5 FIFTH AND SIXTH WOES RELEASED REVELATION CHAPTER 9 When the fifth trumpet sounded, a plague of demon locusts are released. Revelation 9:1 5 (KJV) 1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months:

and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. They were commanded not to hurt the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given the authority to kill them [men] but to torment them for five months: their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. The locusts are commanded not to harm the grass of the earth. We know that the first plague has not run its course or there would be no grass for the locusts to hurt. Since the locusts are instructed to hurt only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads, we know that the 144,000 young Jewish evangelists are still on the earth ministering after mid-tribulation. Approximately 6 months later, they are met by Jesus at Mount Zion and are taken up to God s throne. Beginning shortly after mid tribulation, this plague covers a five-month period and is not repeated. During this time the remnant of Israel who has not yet accepted Christ, are hidden away and ministered to by the 144,000. I believe that anyone who accepts the ministry of the 144,000 will also have divine protection against the terrible things that are happening. The word shows us that our God of mercy knows how to protect and deliver his own.

It seems that during this five-month period of time, there will be no death. Verse 6 tells us that in those days, men will seek death and will not find it. Revelation 9:6 (KJV), And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. Since the time death became a reality through the fall of Adam, this would be the only occasion in all of God s Word that death takes a holiday. Men will suffer the scorpion like sting from the demon locusts for five months. The great suffering will cause men to attempt suicide. Whatever they do that would normally result in death, will only add to their torment until the five months have passed. This is the result of people s determination to live their own way in spite of the warnings of God. They have ignored God s love by rejecting Jesus and turning their ears away from the wooing of the Holy Spirit until finally God has no choice but to allow them to go their own way. As the Scripture says, therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own ways, and will be filled to the full with their own fancies. These horrible things happen not as a result of the will of God for anyone, but as a result of sin and rebellion against God. Revelation 9:7 12 (KJV) 7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were

crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. 12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. This smoke from the bottomless pit causes severe air pollution. People not under the care of the 144,000 are temporarily blinded by the smoke and struggle to breathe. They are helpless to defend themselves against the staying of the locusts. Some people say they believe these locusts represent jet aircraft, which have horrible firepower. But, have you ever seen an airplane eat grass and leaves off of the trees? John s description of the locusts as insect corresponds with an ancient reference found under locusts in most encyclopedias. These locusts are literal insects commanded to attack the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. The name of the king over the locusts in both the Hebrew and Greek language means

destruction and destroyer, one woe is past and two more are to come.

CHAPTER 6 200 MILLION MAN ARMY As the sixth trumpet sounds, four angels found at the River Euphrates are released. Revelation 9:13 15 (KJV) 13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. The four angels are given a fixed period of one year, one month, one day and one hour in which to operate. During that time, they create a vehicle through which they will destroy one third of the earth s remaining population. That vehicle is an awesome army of 200 million men equipped with weapons of tremendous firepower.

Revelation 9:16 19 (KJV) 16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand, thousand [200 million]: and I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. 18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. 19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. These are not natural horses, which John describes. They have heads like lions out of which come massive destruction. John is describing a military vehicle with awesome firepower which his taken the place of the horse, the most outstanding mode for Army transportation in his day. The horse has long since been replaced by powerful, swift, armored vehicles. THE ORIGIN OF THE 200 MILLION MAN ARMY In comparing the verses in Revelation 9:14 & Revelation 16:12, which described the sounding of the sixth trumpet and the pouring out of the sixth vile, we see that they both involve the great river Euphrates.

Revelation 9:14 (KJV) says, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. Revelation 16:12 (NKJV) says, Then the sixth angel poured out his vial on the great river Euphrates and its waters dried up, so that the way of the kings from the East might be prepared. Only the orient can produce a 200 million-man army. In December of 1971 the Prime Minister of China declared that China had the potential of fielding a 200 million-man army. The Oriental Federation of Nations can now easily field an army of 200 million men. The combination of the enormous Chinese population with the boom of industrial growth can easily create a formidable military machine. The time frame of one year, one month, one day and one hour begins with the last month of the tribulations sixth year. In 12 of the 13 months designated, the 200 million man army sweeps through Asia to the river Euphrates destroying everything in its path with tremendous firepower. Meeting with some resistance in the worlds most populated areas of Asia, the army destroys one third of the earth s population. Early in the last month of the seventh year of the tribulation, the Oriental army arrives at the then dry river Euphrates. The army crosses and turns south into the

nation of Israel. In that final month, its members gather into the Valley of Megiddo, which stretches into the plains of the Valley of Jezreel, the site of the Battle of Armageddon In addition, the European and Mediterranean armies, under the leadership of the Antichrist and the false prophet, also gather for the Battle of Armageddon. The Oriental army is under the command of fallen angels, not of the Antichrist. The Orientals are on a collision course with the Antichrist. Both forces are attempting world conquest when they discover a common foe, Jesus Christ. They combine forces to resist his return. Of course, their defeat is inevitable. On the final day of the tribulation, the Orientals and the Army of the Antichrist are destroyed in one hour. This accounts for the last month, one day, and one hour.

CHAPTER 7 SIN AND LAWLESSNESS Revelation 9:20 21 (KJV) 20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. Although God continues to reach out in love and mercy, mankind becomes worse and worse in their evil deeds. They seem to have no thought of repenting, turning from their wicked ways, or seeking the face of God! Murders continue and increases: There will be no regard for life! Sorcery: witchcraft and sorcery continues in its most sophisticated and devastating forms. Coupled with drugs, they are used as a religion. People will follow astrology and attend séances. They will demand the

services of spiritual mediums to communicate with the dead, clairvoyants, and magicians. These things are an abomination to God and are forbidden in his Word. Sexual immorality: There will be no regard for one s morals or for one s private person. Theft: No one s private property will be respected!

CHAPTER 8 SEVEN TRUMPET JUDGMENTS Revelation 10:1 4(KJV) 1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: 2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, 3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. We do not know what the voices of the seven trumpets said. When John was about to reveal this, a voice from heaven stopped him, probably the voice of Jesus. We do not know what happened after they spoke. Several references to God s thundering appear in the Old

Testament. For example; the lord thundered with a loud thunder upon the Philistines that day, and so confused them. God s thundering threw his adversaries into such chaos that they often destroy themselves. We cannot speculate as to whether these references provide any insight into the effect of the voice of Revelation. The meaning of the seven thunders is another unknown of the Book of Revelation.

CHAPTER 9 THE TIME OF THE TRIBULATION S END WHEN THE TRIBULATION HAS RUN ITS COURSE, IT WILL END. Revelation 10:5 7 (KJV) 5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, 6 And sware by him that liveth forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: 7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. The mighty angel says there shall be time no longer. He is not announcing that time will end, but that the seven-year tribulation will end and not be extended. When the seventh angel sounds his trumpet, the last day of the tribulation begins. It is then that the mystery of

God will be finished. The tribulation will not be drawn out. For some people that is good news. Revelation 10:8 10 (KJV) 8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. 9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. 10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. So I went to the angel and said to him, give me the little book. And he said take time, take and eat it, and it will make your stomach better, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth. As far as can be determined, the little book is the Word of God. Following the Angels instructions, John eats it. In his mouth, it was as sweet as honey, but in his belly, in his innermost being it was bitter. When you first encounter the word after coming to Jesus, you find simple beauty, wonder, and sweetness about it. In these elementary days, you can hardly wait to tell everyone about it. After a while, you necessarily start growing in the things of God. The word begins affecting you, bringing you into the likeness of Jesus to

mature status. You have switched your diet from milk to the meat of the word. The word is not always sweet, but it is nourishing. Revelation 10:11 (KJV), And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. When John was in his 90s and exiled on the Isle of Patmos: we have no record of any other ministry after that time. When will John have that ministry? We will just have to wait and see!

CHAPTER 10 GOD S TWO WITNESSES REVELATION CHAPTER 11 Revelation chapter 11 provides insight into the two witness s ministry in Jerusalem during the last half of the tribulation. LENGTH OF THEIR MINISTRY Revelation 11:1 2 (KJV) 1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. The 42 months, exactly three and one half years, cover the last half of the tribulation period. The man of sin will have broken his agreement with Israel and established his headquarters in the temple in Jerusalem.

Revelation 11:3 (KJV), And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. 1260 days is exactly 42 months or three and one half years. Time during the tribulation is based on the prophetic calendar of 360 days to the year. This is the reason that the seven years are equally divided into halves of exactly 1260 days. WHO ARE THESE WITNESSES? Who are the two witnesses? Is it Enoch and the apostle John or Elijah or Moses or Joshua and Zerubbable? None of these? Let s look at some possibilities. These two witnesses have future ministry. Both outstanding prophets, John and Elijah, meet this specification. Of John, Revelation 10:11 (NKJV) states, And he said unto me, you must prophesy again before many people, nations, tongues, and King s. The beloved apostle John leaned upon the Lord s breast. In addition to the book of Revelation, he wrote the great love letter, the Gospel according to St. John, and three love epistles. He was the only one of the 12 disciples to die a natural death. Malachi 4:5 (KJV) states, Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

When Elijah prayed on Mt. Carmel, supernatural fire consumed his sacrifice. When he prayed, no rain fell for three and one half years. He appeared on the mount of transfiguration with Jesus and Moses, another candidate. Caught up bodily and alive in a whirlwind, Elijah did not see death. Before Elijah, Enoch did not see death. A tremendous man of faith, Enoch was also a prophet. He so pleased God that he was not found again on the earth because the Lord translated him into his presence. The apostle Paul writes, it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. Because Elijah and Enoch did not see death, they are excellent candidates. However in the near future, the great number of us who are caught up to meet Jesus in the air will not see death. This weakens the probability of Enoch and Elijah being the witnesses. Moses was considered a great prophet of Israel and its most outstanding leader. Exodus 7 12 records Moses handling of the 10 plagues, including one in which he turned water into blood. As we just saw, he appeared upon the mount of transfiguration with Jesus. Both John and Moses experienced death, which may eliminate them as candidates. Elijah and Enoch have evidence in their favor, but the Ministry of Elijah was fulfilled through John the Baptist. The reincarnationests believe that John was Elijah. John clearly establishes that he was not.

John 1:21 (NKJV), And they asked him, What then? Are you Elijah? He said, I am not. Are you the prophet? And he said No. John the Baptist was sent to fulfill the prophecy in Isaiah 40:3 (NLT), I am The voice of one crying in the wilderness: make straight the way of the Lord, as the prophet, Isaiah said. According to Malachi 4:5, Elijah was a forerunner of Christ. Quite evidently, John the Baptist was not Elijah, but another forerunner of Christ. As the assignment of Christ is upon us today, the assignment of Elijah was upon John the Baptist. Revelation 11:4 (KJV) states, These [the two witnesses] are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands standing before the God of the earth. The Old Testament also refers to Joshua and Zarubbable as my olive trees and the lamp stands that stand before God. Some people have assumed these men are the two witnesses. However, the symbolic description, olive trees and lamp stands, is applicable to any believer who on behalf of God s children, stand before God. Due to Paul s teaching in Hebrews 9:27, we can eliminate the possibility of Joshua and Zarubbable as being the two prophets of Revelation 11. You may reason that Elijah has a place of ministry before the appearing or the return of Jesus. Other people may think something else. Any opinions held in this

matter are pure speculation. No chapter or verse nails down the two witnesses identity. Personally, I believe that none of the four men we have discussed is either of the two witnesses. God is sovereign. He rises up whom he wills. He puts down one and exalts another. God has chosen 144,000 unmarried to serve as evangelist during the first four years of the tribulation. Through their ministry, all Israel and many Gentiles are saved. Therefore, God can choose two men out of that same period to be his two witnesses. Don t believe anyone who declares, the Lord has revealed to me the identity of the two witnesses. Please continue this book 2 series with booklet 2 of 5

MY COMMISSION God answered and said, My son, just as I was with Jesus, so will I be with you. You go and cast out devils. You heal the sick. You cleanse the lepers. You raise the dead. I give you power over all the power of the enemy. Do not be afraid. Be strong. Be courageous. I am with you as I was with Jesus. No demon should be able to stand before you all the days of your life. I used men and women then, but now I desire to use you. January 7, 2012 This day will I begin to magnify you in the eyes of the people. February 4, 2012 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have showed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come. Psalm 71:17 18 Your greatest days are yet ahead, my son. January 13, 2013 Eldon Bollinger
