NHCRC Announcements Remember in prayer Vic Munneke received a good report on a scan for his cancer this past week. He will have only one round of chemo treatment and then be checked again in three months. Lloyd Muckey had back surgery this Wednesday to relieve pain. Vonnie Van Horssen is recuperating at home after her carotid artery. This morning Steve and Chelsey (Munneke) Nugteren tell about their mission work plans in the Netherlands. We welcome Pastor Drew Hoekema from Platte CRC as he leads our afternoon worship today, while Pastor Gorter is there on a post-thanksgiving exchange. The proposed budget for 2019 was adopted at the congregational meeting last week. Next Sunday (December 2): Why doesn t God give me a vision of himself to confirm my faith? In the morning we will begin a series on the Carols of Christmas ( Good Christian All Rejoice ) as we look at 1 John 1:1-4. We will select new elders and deacons during the morning worship service. How do Jews celebrate Hanukkah? In the afternoon we will look at John 8:12 & 10:22-42 & 11:7-10. Upcoming Christmas program practice times for grades K-6 will be Dec 1st, 8th and 15th, 9:30-11:30. The deadline to donate to Love Packages is the end of November in other words, now! A collection box can be found in the back of church.

Claim your cubby! To the parents of the church s youngest members, please visit the nursery and claim your cubby. Each cubby on the nursery wall can now be officially claimed by a child/family; just fill out the sheets hanging in each cubby indicating child & parent name (feel free to add a picture too). This will allow families to leave a few essential items in their cubby and also assist our nursery attendants in remembering the names of the children. If your child no longer uses the nursery, please pick up any personal belongings. Cubbies that are not claimed by the end of Nov. will be cleaned out for guests to use or for new members to claim. Questions contact Danica Zomer, 680-9415. Christmas Decorating Reminder: Workgroup 2 will be putting up Christmas decorations in church on Thursday, Nov.29 at 5:00 PM. If you are on Workgroup 2, please come to help put up Christmas decorations in church. A newsletter from Victor and Lori Selemani can be found in your mailbox. ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS Help yourself to a copy of Our Daily Bread devotionals on the back tables. Interested in making fudge or contributing to a Christmas sack for prisoners in Sioux Falls? On the back tables are copies of the Christmas sack edition of the Cornerstone Prison Church, which provide step-by-step instructions. Thank you for your prayers for the church planting effort of Classis Iakota in west Sioux Falls and in Chamberlain SD. This has been a good year of seeking God s direction where to plant. Classical Home Missions has plans to make 2019 a foundational year for growing these new plants. Ask God to continue to bless our steps.
