Giving thanks to God for His great liberty, which words can not explain. It is more than how so many on the fourth of July are celebrating. For it means more than parades, picnics, hot dogs, coca cola, ice cream, apple pie, baseball, fireworks etc., which is good. The Fourth of July Anniversary (the adoption of the Declaration of Independence), is a legal holiday set on July 4, 1776. But, thanks to our Lord and Savior, we were set free from the slavery of sin. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Cor. 3:17). The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound (Isa. 61:1). Thanks be to God, For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death (Rom. 8:2). Now through the precious blood of Jesus, His saving powers, For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself ( Phil. 3:20-21 ). Knowing this, let's not use our freedom as a coverup for evil, but living as servants of God, who are called to continue in much prayer one for the other until the Lord comes. Amen, Amen and Amen! A Word From Our Editor- Sis. Marilyn Silver I m Free Praise the Lord Dear Readers. It s during the month of July that we celebrate Independence Day! Thank God, we don t have to wait until July to thank the Lord for being set free from sin. John 8:36 reads, If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. This is something to shout about! I m Free be blessed through the words of this song. (Say it one more time, if you mean it!!) Burnett Adams, Jr. In These Things God Delights God bless you my brothers and sisters. It is again my pleasure to write a word of encouragement unto you as you continue in the Lord. We who have consecrated our hearts to God should know and understand what it is that delights the Lord. God spoke to us through the Prophet Jeremiah in Chapter 9 and verses 23 & 24 Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD." King Solomon spoke in Proverbs chapter 3 and verses 5 7 saying to us that we should Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD and depart from evil. These are great words spoken by two great men of God. These two men did experience the unfailing power of God moving in their lives. May we find instructions, courage, and strength in their words as we strive to please God and live an acceptable life for him. Be encouraged in the Lord!! AMEN!! http://christiansimplicity.com/god-ideas/god-delights/ Page 2 Temple of Deliverance, HCG, Inc. Newsletter

Temple Men Speak Deacon Sylvester Silver 99 and a Half Won t Do Praise the Lord Everybody. July 4 th is the day to celebrate Independence Day. If we are free in the Lord then we ought to give God all the praise, not just in our talk but in our walk. I pray that we celebrate our freedom and walk with Christ every day. God requires that we give Him 100%. The old song says, 99 and a half won t do. We must serve God wholeheartedly. A halfhearted walk is a disgrace to Christ. Striving to do better should always be our goal. Colossians 3:23 (KJV) reads, And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Temple Women Speak Trusting God Through Our Wilderness Our wilderness is where we go through suffering, disappointment, sickness, sorrow, heartache, pain, loss of loved ones, etc. That s the time we need to pray and call on God more. This is a time when satan tries to tempt us with by: Sister Rose Young discouragement and have us to think that God has forgotten about us. When we are overwhelmed by our circumstances and desperate in the wilderness, God s Word is our weapon to not only defeat satan in the wilderness, but it will give us peace while we are there. Have you thanked Him for waking you up and giving you life? Have you thanked Him for giving you food, clothing, and shelter? Sometimes we get so caught up in our lives and our busy schedules that we tend to forget to thank God for everything. Back in May, some guys from school and I drove to Florida for a vacation. We went to the beach and had a good time. One day we went jet skiing in the ocean, and as we went farther out into the ocean, a giant wave overtook my jet ski and I fell into the water. I don't know how to swim, but I was wearing a life vest. After the guys learned that I had crashed, they came and got me out the water. As we went back to shore, our jet skis got beached (stranded) on a sandbar, and a storm came while we were still in the bay. We eventually made it back to shore safely, but I thank God because it could have been a different by: Bro. Tori Silver way. "I praise you, Lord God, because you are my king, and you rescued me. I give you thanks for protection and help when I was in danger." "And I will honor you forever with songs of praise. I know you heard my prayer, because you saved me from death and rescued me from danger. That's why I thank you and give you honor and praise." (Ben Sira). In the PRESENCE of the LORD!! Youth Service - May 6th Minister David Dudley was the anointed speaker on the first Sunday Youth Service, May 6th. The topic was, What s your Price? The scriptures were taken from the Min. David Dudley KJV reading, 2 Peter 2:1-3; 17-19, But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment Sisters Tea - May 26th The Sisters Tea was a sweet fellowship with sisters from far and near. Our speaker, Mother Alice Christmas, encouraged our hearts through the Tea s Theme, Fill My Cup-Let it Overflow with Love. She read from John 4:7;10 & John 14:15. Thanks to all the now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 2 Peter 2:17 19, 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. Minister David reminded us to not sell ourselves short to receive those things which are not a part of God s plan. He asked the question, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul? The spirit of the Lord encouraged us through Minister David. Let us HOLD ON and not sell out to sin. Pray always for our Youth and for one another. God bless. participants and to our gracious hostess, Sis. Ruth White, for inspiring us to walk in the love of the Lord. For love is the principal thing. May God bless all the sisters as we strive to walk according to His will and be holy examples of Christ in these last days. Sis. O R N E R http://scripturemoments.blogspot.com/2018/05/philippians-4.html Thank You! A R E G I V E R S "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:6-7 PHILIPPIANS 4 We often think of Philippians chapter four as a chapter on joy. In this chapter, we also learn how we can have peace, a sense of security in Christ, and how we can "stand firm in the Lord" (Philippians 4:1b). We are commanded in Philippians 4:4 to "Rejoice in the Lord always." This verse is not only telling us we are able to have joy in Christ, but that we must rejoice in the Lord. We are not to rejoice only on the days when everything is going smoothly, but we must also rejoice on the days which are difficult and full of trouble and challenges. True joy in the Lord does not depend on our circumstances but comes from the Lord. Paul wrote the book of Philippians in prison. He rejoiced in the Lord in spite of his trials and unpleasant circumstances. He had joy because of His relationship with the Lord. That must be our source of joy also. Joy is first found in right praying. Joy and peace are not found in counterproductive worry. Worry accomplishes nothing except for depressing our spirit and in some cases causing physical ailments in our bodies. When we begin to worry we need to immediately cast our worries and anxieties on the Lord in prayer. We need to commit all our concerns to the Lord, and then leave them with the Lord. It is so easy to pray to the Lord, and then walk away from prayer still worrying. God commands us not to do that, but instead, we are to leave all our worries in His hands. Worry and trust do not go together. When we bring our worries to the Lord we must also approach Him with a thankful heart. We must not forget to thank Him for We greatly appreciate the many readers just like yourself, who have contributed to the Newsletter with your prayers, encouragements and monetary blessings! It s because of you and, of course, Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ that we are able to distribute this monthly newsletter to thousands of souls across the nation. We ask for your continued support of this ministry. Donations may be mailed to: Temple of Deliverance 5756 ZACHARY TAYLOR HIGHWAY MINERAL, VIRGINIA 23117 From I-95, take the Thornburg Exit (#118). If we do that Philippians 4:7 says that "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Joy and peace come from right praying, and they also come from right thinking. In verse eight of chapter four of Philippians, we are told to think of things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Joy and peace further come from right practice. Philippians 4:9 says, "Whatever you have learned or received---put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." Obedience to God's Word always produces joy and peace. Joy and peace come from right praying, right thinking, right acting, and finally from contentment in all circumstances. We need to be content whatever our circumstances, and we need to be content wherever God has placed us in this life. Paul was in prison when he wrote the book of Philippians. In spite of this fact, Paul wrote in Philippians 4:11b, "I have learned to be Content whatever the circumstances." Can we say the same? Surrendering to God's will and resting in Him is the only way to true joy and peace. We might think that this is easier said than done. The truth is we can do nothing in ourselves. Paul says in Philippians 4:13, however, "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." The Lord gives us the strength to rest all our worries in Him. He gives us the strength to face all of life's problems. Finally, the Lord promises to be with us and meet our needs. Philippians 4:19 says, "And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus." He has promised to meet all and not just some of our needs. He has promised to meet all our needs out of His glorious and limitless riches. What joy! What peace! Stay on Route 606 until you reach the stop light. Cross over Route 1 on Route 606.
