FOR HIS GLORY E-NEWS DECEMBER 2016 www.fhglory.org For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end... Isaiah 9:6-7a Such wonderful, faith-filled words resound through our hearts from the prophet Isaiah--words that have spoken hope to people down through the years and words that point only to Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Prince of Peace, Redeemer of Mankind, and the Savior of the World. May His divine government of righteousness rule in the hearts of men and nations and may His glorious light shine ever brightly in and through us out into this darkened world. Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you! (Isaiah 60:1) Christmas Blessings to you all! Standing in the Counsel of God The Prophet Isaiah Hearing the voice of God, feeling His heart, and then declaring what God said is the general call of a prophet. Only those who stand in the counsel of God are able to do this, and Isaiah was such a man. Used to call backslidden Israel and Judah back to God, to justice, and to true worship of Yahweh, Isaiah proclaimed truth and righteousness to a wicked and rebellious people. More than a mouthpiece for God, the heart of prophets themselves are affected as His Word burns like fire within them and as they weep for the sins of God s people. Their own hearts are stirred by the very messages they proclaim! So it was with Isaiah, and it required that he had a fear of God, not man; an obedient spirit; faithfulness to the call; a humble and forgiving heart, and a willingness to walk in the grace, power and strength of God s Spirit instead of by His own wisdom and strength. As a result, the words of God spoken through Isaiah have ministered life, comfort, and hope from generation to generation. By knowing God s heart, Isaiah was able to proclaim a message that spoke of joyous restoration and of merciful salvation even in the midst of captivity a light of God s love and grace breaking through the darkness and the declaration of the coming Messiah--Emmanuel, God with Us! Prophet, Priest and King were all forseen by Isaiah in the person of the coming One who would set the captives free, open the eyes of the blind, bind up the brokenhearted, and give us the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the Spirit of heaviness. Rejoice, rejoice!! Emmanuel has come to thee and His name is JESUS!! ---written by Dr. Kathy Bojanowski Dr. Angel Chisefu, President of River of Blessing Bible College in Lusaka, Zambia, is fully aware that God is with him as he enters into his 12 th year as a FHG Chartered School of Divinity. He writes I have been helping some of our graduate students establish their local churches and doing some short training sessions. Just yesterday I was assisting one of the fast-growing churches to establish its leadership structure. It was a very colorful ceremony We are making some outings with students for evangelism and today I deployed some of them for preaching practice in local churches. We rejoice that the Lord is with Dr. Chisefu and RBBC as they continue in the work of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the Body of Christ!
REJOICING IN WEBUYE, KENYA!!! October 29, 2016 Graduation at The Word of Truth Bible College Shouts of joy and much celebration rang out as friends and families gathered together for the fourth graduation ceremony at The Word of Truth Bible College to honor the Lord and the 22 graduates who had faithfully studied God s Word and had shown themselves equipped to minister in His Name. Dr. Tobias Wakhungu, Founder & President, was joined by Dr. Michael Wanyonyi, College Registrar & Treasurer, in officiating at the 2016 ceremony. The graduates were from the diploma level through the doctoral level and received degree certificates and awards. Worship and praise to God was offered throughout the day and representatives from each graduating class gave encouragement from God s Word. The theme of this year s graduation was taken from Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. We extend our congratulations to the graduates as they go forward in His strength and with good courage! God s blessings also to the staff at WOTBC for being faithful and diligent in their service unto the Lord and the students at WOTBC!
An Excerpt from the WOTBC President s Message Do Not Fear! As you may be aware, my dear students, your coming to this college and studying to completion was spiritual warfare. Admittedly, it was never easy for any one of you to reach where you are now. Problems varied...and the attacks came from friends and even Christian leaders who told you it was not necessary to go to Bible college. You almost believed them, but you came nevertheless! This may explain why the psalmist had to look back after his victory and thank God: The Lord is my strength and my shield: my heart trusted in Him and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him. (Ps. 28:7) My Brothers and Sisters, fear will interfere with what God has planned for you to do in your life and ministry. Just imagine what would have happened to Israel if young David had not offered to challenge Goliath. Israel would have continued to be under subjection to the Philistines! Some precious souls have entered eternity without accomplishing their God-ordained mandate because of fear. Dealing with fear is a personal decision that each believer has to make in life. You either trust what God has promised in His Word or you rely on your feelings. According to our theme scripture Deuteronomy 31:6, we are called upon to trust God regardless of how we feel. It is important for us to trust God even if the circumstances are adverse. What should propel us forth is the fact that God is faithful in whatever He has promised. When God says do not fear and that He will go before us and fight for us, we have to trust that as a fact. Go wherever the Lord is leading you! Move away from your current comfort zone to the unknown of faith! Whatever the Lord leads you to do, do that heartily without rationalizing anything! Remember, you have previously lost your blessings because you feared to tithe, intercede, forgive, support, testify about your faith in public; and whenever this happened, the devil insidiously gave you sufficient reasons to defend your fear! With a prophetic anointing, I adjure thee: do not fear, because your current fear is not based on reality but rather on perversion of the enemy. Feed on fear and live a fearful life. Feed on God s Word and you become emboldened to face any challenge that may come your way. Hallelujah! --- Dr. Tobias S. Guest Speaker Pastor John Appiah From Ghana September 20 th How blessed we were to hear what God is doing in yet another African nation as we welcomed Pastor Appiah to FHG Bible Fellowship. Through his message, we were challenged to walk humbly and obediently before God, to believe Him for miracles in our lives, and we were challenged to spend more quality time in prayer and intercession. Pastor Appiah oversees over twenty churches and has been used of God to reach the lost and to disciple believers to walk in the ways and strength of the Lord. FOR HIS GLORY BIBLE FELLOWSHIP Shallotte, NC What a wonderful group of committed women persevered in the study of the Book of Isaiah during the Fall Session of FHGBF. The primary instructor for this session using the book, Here I Am, Send Me! was Kathy Bojanowski. Despite the fact that Isaiah historically spoke to the Jews prior to the time of the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities, his words so often were telescopic prophecies that pointed to the future. There is peace in seeing the mercy and justice of God working hand in hand, and much joy when His comfort, salvation and plans of restoration are foretold. Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted His people and will have mercy upon His afflicted I will not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; thy walls are continually before Me. Isaiah 49:13, 15c, 16 The winter session on The Armor of God begins on January 10 th and ends on February 21 st. To register or for more information, contact Becky at grammyof3.rs@gmail.com.
