There will be a time of fellowship and refreshments after the worship service. CONGREGATIONAL NOTES The Deacons request your prayerful consideration of a need for our Budget and Mission Funds. Budget needs are $51,300 and Mission Fund needs are $4,700 (two scheduled offerings), by the end of 2018. The Church Safety Committee would appreciate volunteers to help monitor church doors at morning and/or evening services. CES Soup & Pie Supper Weds., Nov. 14 from 5 7 p.m. There will be valet parking and use of only the west entrance. Make reservations (call church office at 729-5132 and leave a message) to attend the Annual Thanksgiving Dinner after our Thanksgiving Day Worship Service (Nov. 22, 9:30am) in the Fellowship Hall. Donation sheets are on the literature table (for food and/or preparation). We look forward to fellowship, fun, and plenty of homemade food! The Fellowship Committee Cornerstone Prison Church would appreciate donations of Fudge, to help fill Christmas sacks for Inmates. Recipe on back table need by Sun., Dec. 9. Sibley CRC will dedicate their new organ with a concert today at 2:00 p.m., featuring a variety of patriot songs performed by Ben Jacobsma and Cindy Kemp. Refreshments will follow the concert. Also, on Nov. 18 at 3 p.m., Browns Variety Music from Le Mars will be giving a concert. First Reformed Church in Sanborn are putting together a Community Christmas Cantata. Practices will be Nov. 25 @ 4:00, Dec. 2 @ 4:00, Dec. 9 @ 5:00, with the program temporarily scheduled for Dec. 9 @ 6:00.

Additional Announcements WCHS's Veterans Appreciation Chapel is Monday, November 12 at 9:15 a.m. in the Event Center. Pastor Cory Van Sloten of Lebanon CRC of rural Sioux Center, Chaplain in the Iowa Army National Guard, Commander of the Doornink-Brunsting American Legion Post 199 in Sioux Center, and Vice President of Midwest Honor Flight, will be speaking. Local Veterans are welcome and encouraged to attend. All 5th-8th graders and their parents are invited to an open house at Weste Christian High School in Hull on Tuesday, November 13 at 7 PM to learn more about Western. CONGREGATIONAL LIFE We express our sympathy to Alice Zonnefeld, Nikki, Noelle, Naomi and families, as well as many other relatives, at the sudden passing of Doug ~ husband, father, grandpa, brother, cousin, and friend to many. His Memorial service was held on Thursday morning. John Vander Werff s tests have shown that he has lung cancer. Keep him in your prayers as he goes through chemo treatments.
