Ulster Senior League Cup Roll of Honour THE ULSTER SENIOR LEGAUE CUP has been under four title sponsors since first being played for in the first USL season, 1986/87. Initially, the competition was sponsored by the Hotel Glenveagh in Gweedore before being sponsored by Hydro Seafoods and then Marine Harvest. It is now known as the Donegal News Ulster Senior League Cup. Fanad United are top of the honours list here having won the Cup nine times. Cockhill Celtic have won the last four. Pitch inspections Clubs are reminded of the procedure to follow for pitch inspections Request for a pitch inspection must be made before 10am to the league secretary The ground will be inspected by 11am by a referee or agent authorised by the league Travel & Inspection Costs must be paid to the person making the inspection If the home venue is unplayable for a League or Cup game, and the club cannot provide an alternative venue, then the match will be reversed. If the opponents ground is also unplayable and they can t provide an alternative playable venue, the game will be postponed. The match reverts to the original fixture. When a club can supply a ground when their own is unplayable, permission is required from the league secretary, or the official on duty, to move the fixture. DATE CHANGES Clubs wanting to change the date & time of a game must do so 8 days in advance by notifying the league secretary / fixtures secretary. Adherence to this makes the job of the Referees Appointment officer and PRO a lot easier.
