Right to Life News The Lawrence County Chapter of Tennessee Right to Life has a new meeting location. It will be in the Lawrence County Public Library, but will still meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7 pm. All are invited to attend the meetings. Meetings for the next three months: May 20th June 17th There will be a Mother s Day Thank You For Life poetry contest which will be open to 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grades. The theme is simply Thank you, Mom, for life. Entries must be submitted by April 28th to P. O. Box 144, Loretto, TN 38469. $15 for 1st place in both categories & $10 for second place. Each winner will also receive a bouquet for his or her mom! CYO ANNOUNCEMENTS Our CYO will be selling pizza discount cards after all Masses on the weekend of April 24th & 25th. The cards cost $10 and for this amount, you will receive 20 pizzas at buy one-get one free. This is a real bargain for pizza lovers! The proceeds from this sale will be used for two worthy purposes: The CYO mission trip The CYO sponsorship program! Our students are sponsoring a student in Columbia, South America, whom they are helping to graduate high school. Your support is always truly appreciated! April 25th Second Collection Catholic Home Missions provides supplemental funding for home mission dioceses where parishes struggle with poverty, difficult or isolated terrain, anti-catholicism, and other unfortunate circumstances. In some of these parishes, priests must travel long distances to the mission. They often have no funds for youth ministry or religious formation. Your contribution will assist these struggling localities. Thank you for your generosity! Our Nursery Our nursery will be staffed today (04/18) by Chris & Christina Johns. On 04/25 the staff will be Scott & Samantha Benefield. Golfers, This Is For You!!! There will be a 4-Man Scramble Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 24th at the Lawrenceburg Golf & Country Club. Tee time is 8 am. The cost per team member is $50 & all proceeds go to Sacred Heart School. Teams will be flighted at registration, which begins at 7 am. Lunch will be provided. For pre-registration, please call Bruce Beckman at 931-363-1794. Confirmation Is Approaching! There will be a confirmation retreat on Sunday, April 25th from 1 pm until 8 pm. Our students will be joined by others from surrounding parishes, who will be confirmed along with them. Confirmation will be celebrated at Mass on Saturday, May 1st at 10:30 am. All parishioners are invited to this occasion! Please pray for all 2010 confirmandi! Helpers for Our School Needed! Someone is needed to pick up cardboard at three of our local businesses. Bill & Linda Gunter have been doing this task, but can no longer do so. We need to pick up the material, as it is a big help in our re-cycling program. This will involve several hours on two-three days per week. If you might be able to assume this duty, you may call the Gunters at 766-9800 or the school at 762-6125. Thank you!!!
